State Senate hopeful Jordan Youngberg has long given his notice of his intent to run for the District 25 seat currently occupied by State Senator Tom Pischke.
And today it is no longer intent, as Youngberg has filed his petitions with the Secretary of State to be placed on the ballot for that office.
Game on.
Senator Youngberg and I crossed paths today and he is on point, positive, and ready to work for the voters in District 25. He stressed his love for South Dakota, and can’t wait to get back to the issues. Watching this race for sure.
I almost feel bad for Tom. Almost.
I’d say 50/50 Pischke tries to slink back to the House to avoid a loss.
This the makings of derailing Pischke’s future congressional career before it even starts.
He’s Throwin’ 100mph.
Pischke, having been one of the delegates who tried to run away with the state convention in ’22 and stood up to be counted as being opposed to the full slate of Republican candidates, is still advocating for a national convention of states.
If ever there were a reason to oppose a national convention of states, the prospect of Pischke and his insanerest ilk being delegates to such a convention should scare the bejeezus out of everybody.
