From phones in District 25 this morning, it looks like today’s theme continues to be fighting from the hard right against themselves.
The anti-pipeline people are on the attack against Senator Tom Pischke because he stepped out of line of a John “California” Carley bill this last session that went down in flames in committee, calling him out for being a “socialist green new deal agenda” supporter.
That being said, the attack seems to be coming from Arch Beal’s favorite poking target, scummy lobbyist Anthony Miryzanats, who has also been going at Pischke for avoiding support for Miryzanats’ looney anti-chemtrail candidate petitions, as opposed to Pischke’s own looney chemtrail efforts.
These kinds of ads are revolting. Lots of out-of-state political alchemy designed to keep people inflamed and on the populist reservation. To put a Dr Strangelove spin on it, THIS AD is what “sapping and impurification of your precious bodily fluids” actually looks like.
I wonder where I put my popcorn? Ah, here it is!
Wind and Solar do not have eminent domain privilege.
But the utilities that carry that power do.
Was this a back door effort to remove ED from everything? Or just a couple really bad bills? So bad even Tom could figure it out?🤦♂️
So the far right is turning into the French Revolution by saying the original crazies are no longer crazy enough? This should get pretty ugly if they are going after TP.
Populism at its finest!
Yeah, it’s kind of messy. I just can’t imagine being a Real Republican, supporting the party, being loyal, giving money, volunteering – and then an interloper swoops in and commands that you are no longer a Republican – you’re now a RINO – a pariah. In your own party. This just doesn’t make sense to me.
That’s a sticky situation he is in.
As entertaining as this is, given that Pischke’s friends have done the same thing to his opponents in years past, if you listen to the recording of the committee hearing, he made it clear he was on the proponents’ side in the matter, but thought the bill was not focused properly, and a different bill was better.
But antagonizing people who support your position is such a fine tactic. And Karma’s a bitch.
