I believe it was Congressman Johnson who quipped that ‘success has many fathers’ at the USDA press conference this AM. So recognizing that, here’s a selection of the people running for office next year who were at the podium speaking this AM.. (you can watch it for yourself here). All were thanked for their work on resolving the criminal prosecution of the case.
Interestingly, it was also noticed that State Senator Amber Hulse was at the presser:
If you hadn’t heard, the rumors are that Amber is said to be in the hunt for the open seat for Congress, and already said to have a consultant lined up. So, when she shows up in DC, it’s noteworthy.
During the speech, Mrs. Maude noted that of those who weren’t there, it was Liz May who brought a group of 12 legislators around the first of April to survey the scene.. so, no direct shout out for those other people who want to run for something statewide next year despite what some are on Facebook claiming:
The Maudes were effusive in their praise for the people at the podium with them today, which included Congressman Dusty Johnson and Governor Larry Rhoden. (Sorry Vanessa Namken… Wrong again.).
Please ditch the hat, Larry. You look like Dennis Weaver in an episode of McCloud.
That was a great show and have been watching old Gunsmoke episodes with a much younger Dennis Weaver. Prior to acting Dennis Weaver was quite the track and field athlete and went to the Olympic trials but fell short in making the team. Larry is being authentic being a west river rancher.
The hat is awesome. Keep it on.
It’s good to see so many people show up.
Is Amber in the Maude’s district?
Our federal delegation has been aware and working on this issue for over a year, Liz May and the other Johnny come lately crowd just joined for publicity.
Stay in your lane folks.
Liz May is their neighbor and did nothing until she could get publicity. Sad
Didn’t Amber literally just get elected to the state senate? Isn’t she like in her mid 20’s? Get some real world experience before you try jumping to congress. She is well spoken but I don’t think our state will vote for her as she simply is too fresh with no real world experience. There are hundreds of consultants out there, lining one up isn’t too difficult. Crabtree is a much stronger choice.
Some people are just political climbers who think a lot of themselves.. Dusty needs to stay in Congress. He understands policy and is a good problem solver.
I agree, it appears Dusty has finally gotten the message in DC. Him leaving now and running for GOV in the middle of the change going on here just doesn’t make a lot of sense, unless he just cares about his own political ascent.
Maybe Rounds will surprise everyone and decide to retire, letting Dusty move to the Senate.
i think there’s something to that “political ascent” thing. we’ll see i guess.
I agree. I think Dusty would be a good governor, he just seems to fit the congressman role a little better. He’s the kind of guy I like in DC. And he can’t jump ships in the middle of Trumps term!
Dusty has wanted to be governor since he was a high schooler. It’s always been the end-game, as good as Dusty is in DC he will be even better as the governor.
seems like Tony and Larry’s minions are out today trying to convince Dusty to run for Congress again. No way – all in for Governor.
Maybe she should focus on passing the bar before running for Congress.
Amber Hulse is on the legal team that currently represents President Trump in his personal capacity, so she just might be in DC visiting her client.
It makes no sense to me that she would run for congress. She is probably just there for work.
Isn’t Hulse an attorney? Where does she practice?
According to her firm’s website (Dhillon Law Group), she is not admitted to practice law in any jurisdiction.
What?
Is that really a picture of her? I’ve never met her but that doesn’t at all look like her campaign photos.
Why isn’t she admitted to practice in any jurisdiction?
She has been very open about her political aspirations and the state is just a stepping stone. Be very cautious of this one. She has proven that she is willing to say just about anything.
Which team? The financial fraud felony team? The sexual offender team? The team that’s trying to justify the numerous Constitutional violations? Perhaps another. There are a few to keep track of.
So, relative to the 48 acres of U.S. land fenced in and controlled by the Maude family, will the U.S. be getting that back, or is the family just going to claim its ownership under accelerated adverse possession?
Not decided. That part will continue to be discussed. They just aren’t going to be criminally charged, which was outrageous.
a couple of years ago, people were laughed at for suggesting hulse was “coming home” just so she could hover behind dusty and primary him “harriet hageman” style if he showed testicular fortitude in a direction away from trump. swooping into a race to scoop up johnson’s possibly available seat would align in keeping congress firmly in a pocket near trump’s depends zone. ha ha. owned the libs again.
