More legislators diving into the Doeden Dumpster. As some have a vested interest in his success.

Looks like Toby Doeden is doing all he can to promote legislators supporting him for Governor.

First it was Taffy, now it appears that Logan Manhart is diving in:

And on Social Media today, Toby is doing his best to promote more association with his campaign by posting pictures of other legislators who were at his announcement enthusiastically supporting him..

Such as Senator “California” Carley…

Senator Carl Perry..

And Rep. Brandei Schaefbauer:

Speaking of State Rep. Brandei Schaefbauer diving in the Doeden dumpster, her ties to Doeden are particularly interesting, as she’s a House Majority Whip under Doeden’s only other announced competitor(s) at the moment, House Speaker Jon Hansen and Assistant Speaker Karla Lems.

While she’s serving in House Leadership, where almost all members of GOP House Leadership have pledged fealty to Hansen, she comes with a close association with Doeden, having previously donated to his PAC. And she invoked his name directly on the House Floor to defend him when Brandei tried to claim a campaign finance clean-up bill (which limited the amount of money that could be “loaned” to a campaign) was actually a personal attack on Toby Doeden:

You can review all that here.

Bonus association between Schefbauer and Doeden – here’s a factoid from public records that has not been mentioned before. According to the Secretary of State records, Rep. Schaefbauer’s current voting address is an apartment/townhome in the complex at 1915 10TH AVE SE in Aberdeen, owned by Plaza Rentals, LLP.

And who owns Plaza Rentals, LLP?

Of course.  Toby Doeden owns Plaza Rentals where Rep. Schaefbauer lives.

And apparently he also owns Rep. Schaefbauer’s loyalty as well.  I mean, she’s the one holding the sign claiming that Doeden is for the people, not the powerful.

As she campaigns for her landlord.

  1. Logan Manhart commenting on unserious legislators is one of the most ironic things I’ve heard in a long time. Apparently serious people want librarians arrested and violate residency requirements for legislators. Very, very serious man, this Logan. Super serious.

    1. grudznick guffawed on exactly that same part of the blogging, Mr. Anonymous. Who over there in Pierre is more unserious than the ineffective clowns listed and pictured above? Unserious, and ineffective, indeed. Ms. Brandei reminds grudznick of Ms. LynDi more every day.

  2. At the Aberdeen Wylie Park Pavilion Doeden event it not only had a few Doeden bought and paid for elected officials but plenty of employees too. What bonus compensation was paid to employees to attend the event since he widely despised in the area?

When will the “Me the People Toby Doeden for SD” meme coin scam be launched and promoted? Stay tuned.

There is always an angle with this guy.

    1. No bonuses — attend or risk unemployment. I’ve heard from multiple people on his payroll.. [please provide proof, or it’s just your opinion. -pp]

I won’t be voting for anyone attending any of his events ever again. They’re bought and paid for, every single one of them. I was only there to do Toby’s bidding, benefitting Toby.

      1. Danny were you and other employees sent a paper memo, an email or text indicating attending the Toby Doeden event was mandatory being a condition of their employment? If so, send it to Pat.

        1. Danny it is doubtful Toby or minions would be dumb enough to leave a paper or electronic trail pressuring employees or contractors to attend his political rally but then again they are not the brightest bunch. If you or anyone you know has proof email Pat.

  3. We need to give Representative Schaefbauer a little grace and forgiveness now and here. Her life has been anything but pleasant lately.

    1. [*And that’s all I’m going to allow on that tangent. Brandei campaigning for her landlord is certainly on-topic. Her divorce is kind of old news, and not on topic for this post. Thanks -PP ]

    1. There is no doubt that the Pierre corruption needs to be cleaned up. But sending Toby there is not the answer.

      1. I didn’t realize how many people despised Toby Doeden that are now posting stories online from the Groton area with some being in the North East Conference. Stories of really bad un-sportsman like conduct on the basketball court as a high school student athlete to as a parent being kicked out of athletic events by referees. They are also countering Toby’s claims from his TV/ social media political campaign ads of working hard and painting houses.

South Dakotans Against Toby Doeden facebook page has some posts by those that know him that are very entertaining. One posted a meme Sh** Sandwich endorsing Toby Doeden using the same graphics as Toby’s bought and paid for elected officials endorsing him.

A Governor Dumpster Fire Doeden would supercharge corruption in Pierre and be one giant grift. Will his next campaign ad include a plug how Bitcoin will save South Dakota?

      2. What corruption? Please be specific.
Just because people disagree with you does not mean they were bought off.
An outcome you do not like is not necessarily evidence of a criminal conspiracy.
Toby also wants to end “reckless” spending. Exactly what spending does he plan to cut?

  4. Logan signed a pledge to take military action against all airplanes, including passenger planes, because he’s not bright enough to understand how exhaust from very large engines work at high altitudes. I’d say his elevator doesn’t quite go to the top, but im starting to think there’s no elevator at all.

  5. You can’t say Carl Perry doesn’t listen to people – now he just needs to learn when to stop. He will toe the line for just about anyone. He’d probably outlaw high heels in Aberdeen if someone told him it invaded the privacy of other Brown County towns.

  6. BranDEI Schaefbauer’s associate conspiracy enthusiast plus another Doedite Shad Olson pleaded no contest and in the deal the state would recommend a 180-day suspended jail sentence in a hearing set for 3 July. “Olson would also have to attend anger management sessions, have no alcohol for three years, and no contact with the victim.”

    1. How long until they start pushing a conspiracy that this was all a ruse from the swamp to keep Shad quiet?
