Phil Jensen posts bill to outlaw money going to Huron School District

I find myself replying to texts all evening, so “Yes, I’ve seen the bill.”

And given that the bill’s sponsor is State Representative Phil Jensen, arguably the worst human being in the South Dakota State Legislature, I can hope that the reason behind the bill isn’t going to come with national condemnation. But given the source, and the rumors I’m hearing behind the scenes… I’m preparing.

    1. Because we are the most diverse district. He attempted to introduce a bill a few years ago that would allow businesses to discriminate and claimed it was the constitutional right of the business to do so.

      1. Do some research on the refugee population who fled persecution, legally came to Huron, joined our schools and churches, revitalized our economy, bought houses and cars, became American citizens, worked alongside all our “home grown” residents in multiple businesses in our community, and have raised their children, many of whom are now also adults working in our community, to be good American citizens as well. Thinking that “diverse” equals “illegal” is ignorant and offensive

  7. Was he wearing his big white hood when he turned it in? Huron is the most diverse district in the state with minorities making up 50%. Hard working families doing the jobs he won’t do.

  10. I’ve donated money to EVERYONE who has ran against Senator Jensen who is an embarrassment to our state, but to no avail he still wins.

  11. It’s almost amazing to me that a GOP from RC introduced this bill. But, then again; its all about racial issues. Huron is a very diverse, inclusive, and amazing school district. This POS sees the racial makeup as a threat to his white privilege’s.

    Make no mistake, not a SINGLE GOP Senator or Representative from Huron will challenge this. It for sure will die in committee but still, can literally SOMEONE grow a pair and stand up? And i say that to BOTH parties. Grow a pair, call it out.

  12. District 33 voters, wake the hell up! Get off your asses and vote this imbecile out! There is no room for a homophobic, xenophobic, racist, in our legislature, period. Jensen has for far too long been spewing this rhetoric while acting as a mouthpiece for hatred and bigotry. It’s time to recall this idiot.

    1. Along with the likes of Mulally, Randolph, Odenbach……………all west river whack-jobs.

    2. I vote against him every chance I get. He still wins. Doesn’t say much for the outlook of people in my district, sadly. He is petty and hateful.
