Pressing for credit on the Maude matter continues… What about Bell?

This afternoon, I received a media advisory from Congressman Dusty Johnson that Congressman Johnson will be part of a press conference supporting the Maude family tomorrow..

Then, 15 minutes later this media advisory came out..

with a mention at the very end 3 paragraphs later of this state government press advisory on the federal matter noting that oh yeah, these guys will be there too..

So, looking like everyone will be there, as they are given credit for getting the federal government to go back to the table in this high-profile case.

And speaking of credit, if you didn’t catch it as the only place I saw it was in the Dakota Scout story, is that some credit is also due to the law firm representing Heather Maude – May, Adam Gerdes & Thompson of Pierre and their attorney Justin Bell

Justin Bell, a lawyer with May, Adam, Gerdes & Thompson in Pierre who represented Heather Maude, said the family did not currently have a statement on the matter.

Read that here.

If you’ve forgotten (which I know some of the goofball election conspiracists haven’t), Justin is an attorney and lobbyist who has also represented the SDGOP in party matters. And along with Brett Koenecke of May Adam had served as GOP party treasurers for at least the last decade.

I’m sure this won’t be lost on some of the election goofballs, who just in the last day were throwing some shade at Mrs. Maude’s law firm:
Well yes, Katie. They do a fine job. And now is your opportunity to sing the praises of May Adam for their quality legal work.

  1. Many people never figure out the duties of a lawyer and to whom they’re owed. Congrats to Mrs Maude and to Justin Bell. He’s a rockstar

  2. The world would be a better place if Katie Hoffman took a long walk off a short pier. She’s the definition of weaponized ignorance.

    1. That comment should be awarded bonus points for how funny (and true) it is. The latest is her, Jessica Pollema and Nichole Braithwait trying to convince people that South Dakota politicians are directly involved in a globalist agenda for a private CIA or some crazy horse$hit like that.

  3. Justin Bell is one of the best trial lawyers in South Dakota. People don’t realize that and he’s too humble to remind them.

  4. Mr. Bell is very young, but he’s a swell attorney and becoming a lobbist’s lobbist. The Messrs. May, Adam, Gerdes & Thompson and their associates have done far more good in this world than any liberal print magazine ever will.

    1. Is mid 40s considered “very young?” And the guy has more courtroom experience than most attorneys have in their lifetime.

  5. This is too good. The same “press group” that went to Maude’s a few ago is the same group that ultimately shut down Summit with 1052. AND the same group that has been throwing Summits attorneys under the bus for the last 3 years. Guess who Summits attorneys are? The exact same attorneys representing Maude’s. This book is writing itself.

    1. Those guys are quietly or not some of the best lawyers in South Dakota. Which is why people hire them over and over

  6. Just because a number of us think the GOP can’t do anything worse than support Trump – please don’t create “hold my beer” moments by finding ways to BE even just a little worse.
