Yesterday, as quickly as GOP Gubernatorial Jon Hansen could tap it out, the SDGOP was re-posting his attack on the Summit Carbon Pipeline and carbon sequestration in general.
While it might play to a very narrow group of individuals, neither seem to care that their cheerleading is a direct attack on President Trump’s energy innovation agenda:
Under President Donald J. Trump, America is back — leveraging environmental policies rooted in reality to promote economic growth while maintaining the standards that have afforded Americans the cleanest air and water in the world for generations.
Unlike the previous administration, which wasted billions of taxpayer dollars on virtue signaling and ineffective grifts, the Trump Administration’s policies are rooted in the belief that Americans are the best stewards of our vast natural resources — no “Green New Scam” required.
Here are key actions President Trump is taking on the environment:
President Trump is promoting energy innovation for a healthier future.
By supporting cutting-edge technologies like carbon capture and storage, nuclear energy, and next-generation geothermal, the Trump Administration is ensuring America leads in both energy production and environmental innovation — producing the cleanest energy in the world. Moreover, by ending the Biden-era pause on liquefied natural gas export approvals, the U.S. is sharing cleaner energy with allies, reducing global emissions, and creating American jobs — building on President Trump’s first-term successes, where the U.S. led the world in greenhouse gas emission reductions.
SDGOP Chair Jim Eschenbaum – an Obama voter & 32 year Democrat – and Jon Hansen should read President Trump’s Energy Innovation Agenda here.
Big questions that Republicans should ask about party leadership and those who think they can sit in the big chair on the second floor – are they following President Trump’s agenda? Or are they anti-Trumpers who are going to be attacking the president and trying to stop his energy innovation agenda in South Dakota?
Another reminder that Republican faithful in the state really need to take a look at the people they’re putting in charge of the Republican Party.
Is Hansen the State party’s choice for governor? It clearly looks that way.
well duh.
Of course he is. everybody else is a RINO.
Hopefully he and Toby Doeden will split the crazy vote and a sane candidate will come out of the primary.
So, according to Jon Hansen and Jim Eschenbaum, Trump is a RINO?
Or at the very least, a ‘boondoggler”
Seems like Gov Rhoden and his Lt Gov are in the mainstream of the new SDGOP.
When are we going to point out that the “new sdgop” isn’t republican at all? They are anti government, anti industry, anti job. They are weird hybrid libertarians who known they can’t win elections under that flag.
Not a great way to garner that coveted Trump endorsement. 😆
Strike 2 will be when Hansen/Lems come out against Data Centers. Lems had a Facebook post up for a short time throwing shade at the Deuel County Data Center proposal then removed it. Trump wants to win the Data Center race. The Trump train is gonna run these 2 over.
Eh I don’t think Trump really cares about the state anymore. We sucked up to him cuz Noem wanted a job, and he can’t run again anyway. I don’t think he really cares what happens after he’s out. The state will continue to vote R in federal races. Governor of a tiny state is pretty inconsequential.
He doesn’t. One tweet from him about how dumb South Dakota was for killing the carbon pipeline and all the craziness would be ended. The whackadoodles wouldn’t have any footing. But we aren’t on his radar anymore.
You’re lying again Pat. haha You used to be better at this stuff.
WTH is he lying about? These are screenshots?

Can’t wait for Radke to start calling out Trump on all the social medias and farm groups forums! How many bridges are left for her to burn?!
May the bridges on fire light her way.
Toby got played like a fiddle by Hansen and the anti-pipeline folks throwing their support behind Hansen. The Amanda Radke network is ramping up promoting the Hansen campaign. Sioux Falls business owner Chris Larson blogged he loves Toby but the state does not need a Toby Doeden wrecking ball to everything being angry all the time. Chris endorsed Jon Hansen. Toby is sitting on the sidelines wondering what happened.
The normies are big tent. There are many who have been fooled by the *so far right they are left* crowd. Toby might get smart and join the traditional conservatives. Those who have joined have never looked back.
Toby blew up too many bridges.
Toby is not welcome among traditional conservatives considering his near constant attacks towards us over the past couple years.
How long are Norman & Carolyn Woods going to be advising Toby with Hansen in the race if they aren’t gone already? Toby will be looking dumb trying to be a factor in the race run by a few family members and some out of staters.
Called this wrong. If you keep thinking it’s a small minority who don’t like the pipeline, you’ll keep losing races. The mainstreet GOP needs to figure out an actual strategy instead of just complaining about the GOPers who are more strategic and purpose driven. Might not be the purpose you want or hope, but they’re out working a ground game that the regular finger-up-in-the-air, which way is the wind blowing, establishment republican politicians who have no real position, are sitting around waiting to get crushed again next election.
Says the person writing from Florida.
Toby, Mark Robinson offers his shoulder to cry on. NAZIs have got to stick together.
Last night I had an opportunity to attend the premiere of the John Birch Society’s documentary “Unearthing the CO2 Pipeline”. The program was very anti-pipeline and was going after the Biden Adminstration for those tax credits for things like the CO2 pipeline.
They also addressed the 2024 elections where RL21 was approved to override SB201.
Interestingly, they made very little comments on the other election result which was Trump’s victory. I spoke with Ed Fischbach after the presentation and they’re not too optimistic that President Trump will do anything to address tax credits. In fact the bill that group now support is a bipartisan bill introduced by Republican Scott Perry(PA) and Democrat Ro Khanna(CA) looking to eliminate those credits. They would also like to see those who represent South Dakota to do more to address this topic.
Dummy Doeden has been pretty quiet the last few weeks. He’s likely sitting center court at his in-home basketball/pickleball court sobbing into a bowl of his PPP dollars, “Why don’t they love me?!”
