  1. So by that logic, the confirmation process is unnecessary and all Presidents should get a free pass on their nominations.

    1. Well, obviously they do. Just look at the clown-show we had for the last four years. At least this cabinet has people who will do the job and actually know how to do the job.

      1. You had me until the last sentence. This will come back to burn you. He’ll claim he doesn’t know the people he’s nominated the moment they mess up. Unfortunately, many of the people he’s nominating are for the reality show cast, not the actual governing or legislating task. I would start working on some excuses now.

        1. Co-President Elon Musk already has Tesla designed Iron Lungs ready to be produced via US Government contracts. RFK MAHA!

    1. Rounds announcement came AFTER he got spanked by Elon Musk over his comments concerning Hegseth qualifications.

      1. I mean, why should anyone be concerned about a philandering alcoholic who drove every non-profit he was in charge of into the ground being SecDef?

  2. Anyone think he’d same the same thing if Harris won the election? If not, does such hypocrisy bother you?

    1. Anyone who believes that the Senate does not have a duty to check executive authority is a troglodyte.

        1. That’s right, silly me. Totally forgot we now are a cult of personality worshiping an 80 year old wannabe King. Lincoln, TR, and Eisenhower are spinning in their graves.

  3. Look at some of the people we let the cat drag in with the Noem adminstration. Check and balances are needed.

  4. It’s good to see Co-President Elon Musk keeping our senator focused. Tulsi will help strengthen relations with our new ally President Putin.

          1. Musk won. Trump is nothing but a loudmouth puppet and will be sidelined a la Biden by the time his term is up. Vance is running in 2028 and Musk will have his back/strings to remain in power.

            1. So for almost 4 years the libturd chorus has been Trump is a threat to democracy, Trump will be the end of America, Trump will suspend the constitution, blah blah blah blah. And now this brilliant piece of logic now states Trump is a puppet. No wonder you libturds got your asses handed to you. You know, Harris got slaughtered in the electoral count and got stomped on with the popular vote and morons like you were all in for her…HA HA HA!!

              1. Without Musk’s money for the ground game, Trump doesn’t get the turnout he needs to win. Nothing to do with Harris and the complete circus her campaign was. There are voters who like Trump’s policies but not Trump the person and voted for him knowing he has to do as he is told.

Look at the spending bill, Trump didn’t say squat about until Master Elon did. He is just taking orders like the rest of us.

                1. Maybe the DOGE team is doing their job they agreed to take on and as a result brought to light all the BS that the bill contained which Trump then voiced his opposition. God forbid should anyone in the congress actually read the bills before voting on them.

                  1. I also believe in a Department of Government efficiency that has two CEOs. The joke kinda writes itself, no?

  5. Its a good thing the state legislature is not in session yet. The moving clown car will amazing to watch.

    1. ….. did you even see Biden’s administration?

Biden could’ve went into a circus tent with a blindfold throwing rocks, appointing anyone who got hit, and he would’ve had a WAY better administration.

  6. Wow! I will say it’s quite entertaining reading all the stupid comments from the Trump hating rejects. Face it, the team of Stumbles and kackles sucked and Trump will fix it.

    1. If President Trump wished to have Sergey Lavrov as a special advisor with full access to top secret US Defense information in the Oval Office he should be free to do so per mandate of the American voters!

              1. There you libturds go, projecting again. That drive through line is getting long porter, better get back to yout grill.

                1. There’s as much evidence of Biden shitting his pants as there is of Trump. That is hearsay. But one defames Trump so it’s obviously false right?

Total schoolyard bully mentality. How dare you do to me what I’ve done to you!

Take your pills grandpa, you’re greeting delirious again.

                    1. Did Pat seriously delete a comment pointing out how sad a person has to be to call someone a soy boy?

            1. No need to keep the oval office bathroom stocked with Depends is top-quality roasting. HAHA

This other guy clearly just needs a place to cope and seethe. It’s unfortunate we can’t enforce an age limit on this site, i’d hate to see it go to the trolls. =/

  7. Good for you Senator Rounds. Every incoming President should get the benefit of the doubt by Senators from his own party as to nominations for federal posts, unless they are manifestly unqualified. Trouble with Biden, many of them were unqualified.

    1. Every nominee should get the benefit of the doubt from both parties, unless they are unqualified or the background investigation discovers serious issues or their financial disclosure statement shows inherent conflicts that can’t be resolved.

A President, of either party, should not have their administration hamstrung because the Senate is controlled by the other party. Give a President his team (subject to the above) and let the voters assess performance.

      1. PS: If I’d have had a vote (assuming the background checks were satisfactory), while abhorring their policy positions, I would have voted for all of Biden’s cabinet with the exception of Mayor Pete as he is utterly incompetent and was incapable of running his small town.

And, assuming all the background checks are ok, I’d vote for all of Trumps nominees.

  8. The justice department, FBI, Homeland Security ( anything but), are corrupt. There needs to be a house cleaning, especially the higher ups. Departments and agencies need to be downsized. Nobody believes the government anymore. The legacy media does not report the news anymore, only what fits their narrative. That includes the Associated Press. Anyway, Senator Rounds, that’s a good decision about supporting
    president-elect Trump’s picks.

  9. The assertion that Elon Musk will be running the country and Trump is his puppet, reminds me of the 2004 documentary film, “Bush’s Brain.”

The premise was that Bush had a brain, but it wasn’t in his head, it was in Karl Rove’s head. Karl Rove was running the country, and the film makers set about to answer the question “who is Karl Rove?”
The consensus was: “he’s the smartest man in the world.”

So now we are told that, having just elected a 78 year old boomer, the REAL problem is that the country will be run by a 53 year old genius.

I’ve never been so scared in my life!
