Interesting news out of Aberdeen today. Apparently, according to Hub City Radio, aside from taking all the credit for passage of House Bill 1052. a measure he didn’t send his PAC lackey to testify on, or did.. literally anything.. Toby “dumpster fire” Doeden has plans for the next election.
And that includes removing anyone he considers moderate from office:
Governor Larry Rhoden signed HB1052 into law to ban eminent domain to be used for carbon oxide projects. One of the big proponents of the bill was Dakota First Action founded by Dakota First Action created by Aberdeen’s Toby Doeden.
What’s the next step for the PAC?…
Continue to replace moderate legislators with conservative of America first legislators.
Read the entire puff piece here.
Not that I agree with HB 1052 (at all), but at what point did dipstick Doeden or his PAC do anything? I saw a johnny-come-lately text message blast at one point that no one paid attention to. But, at what point was he in Pierre actually doing any lobbying on the measure? Or anything?
I’m guessing that’s what counts for ‘leadership’ nowadays. The kind of leadership he wants to bring to the legislature by replacing those he considers moderate with more California Carleys and Carl Perrys.
Just what South Dakota needs.
Carl Perry signs on to bill after bill — yet accomplishes nothing every session. He’s not just a wasted seat; he’s a black hole swallowing South Dakota’s taxpayer dollars.
Dist 3, please do the rest of us a favor and let the old codger stay home next cycle!
Living in District 3 and working with him for years i can assure you that you are 100% correct
Sounds like D25 Tom Pischke 2.0
Perry is worthless to his constituents. Doeden just magnified his i competence. Who would possibly vote for Chinese vapes that are poisoning our youth! Doeden has that idiot under his spell.
All your base are belong to us!
It won’t be long and a wikipedia search for the name Doeden will be described as a species of parasites similar to how tapeworms and wood ticks affect their hosts. Having a parasitic Doeden infection has been an unpleasant experience for Brown County residents as reflected in recent polling up there in Aberdeen,
so let him take credit for the demise of ethanol production here.
Lake Preston can kiss Gevo goodbye.
I’ve been surprised at how quiet everyone has been about the absolute devastating economic impact this is going to have on the producers and the industry in this state. Not to mention what it will do to future industry. Who is going to want to come do business in this state after seeing this play out? Plus a governor that doesn’t have the stones to stand up to the crazy bullies and veto that garbage bill. Or is part of the crazies himself. Either way, not a good look. Larry, I wouldn’t get too comfortable in that governors mansion.
lots of objections to the CO2 pipeline came from people who live 100s of miles from the proposed route and have no stake in agriculture.
Plenty of reasonable people tried to warn opponents about the economic kneecapping this will do to the state. You know what though, to hell with them. Let them reap what they’ve sown, hope they enjoy their small downs being obliterated even further.
Farmers will be made whole. They always are. They are like Chrysler and GM……too big to fail. My family’s farm did not survive the early 1980’s high interest environment. The group that bought our land make more money on government subsidies to not farm it then we did trying to grow a crop. Federal welfare state.
I am beginning to miss that guy, Lee Schoenbeck. He may have been bombastic, but he never hurt SD like the newly elected group of morons
Hub City Radio might as well change it’s name to Dumpster Fire Radio. It is very biased when it comes to protecting Doeden Dumpster fire bought and paid for legislators, their bills and candidates. Then there is this promo for his PAC with his unusually large head shot photo the promo story. Will not advertise with them.
“Abolish Property Taxes” with this moron owning a lot of taxpayer COVID Welfare Queen properties.
“Tariffs are great” Toby ya idiot do you realize this will wipe out the auto industry, dealer franchises?
I worked at HubCityRadio and I posted the story that your talking about here. All I did was asked Toby for a reaction to what happened with HB1052 and that was his response looking ahead. Those comments are his words nor ours and we try to be as fair and impartial to everyone involved.
I posted a story after Crossover Day about bills our legislators primed not just co-sponsored and where they stood during the session.
I’m sorry if you feel offended by the stories that we post but the statements & audio are from the legislators themselves. You asked the legislators here serving Aberdeen and they will tell you that I have never protected them in anyway shape or form.
The problem with Aberdeen is one particular party are not feeling candidates as they have done in the past. The city is a much more conservative now than it was even ten years ago.
Who is one of the biggest advertisers at Hub City Radio? It is not difficult to see what is chosen for audio clips.
(….hard to resist comment about feeling candidates…..)
