  1. Obama’s job approval rating: 51%
    Congress’ job approval rating: 12%

At least the public seems to understand where the actual problem is.

    1. Yes, with all the Democrat/Socialists and the spinelessness of the Republicans in stopping Obummer’s evil and unconstitutional plans. Obama is a rotten, lawless president, and he is responsible for much of what has made our country worse for our kids than we had it. If you don’t understand that, there is no helping you until you do.

  2. And today we had to listen to Obama orate at the UN about how nationalism is wrong and leads to all our problems and globalism is the way to go. Ugh!

    1. He hates America! I think that is pretty well known to everyone who has a brain that hasn’t been washed by the rat in chief. The Democrats voted for something historical instead of something good, and now we’re all paying the price. Our kids will have more debt and less freedom-aren’t you Democrats who voted for Obummer proud of that legacy? Good job!

  3. Add to this that tonight they were talking of a single payer option (govt health care) because so many insurance companies are quitting Obamacare. As if that wasn’t the plan all along; the Reps knew it, the Dems wouldn’t believe it if they had been hit over the head with a rock, and now we are seeing the final product. Obama was right in one thing; he is fundamentally changing America; and it’s NOT for the good.

  4. Since coming into office on January 21, 2009, President Barack Obama has:

    1. Signed an Executive Order on government contracting to fight waste and abuse.

    2. Signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, restoring basic protections against pay discrimination for women and other workers.

    3. Renewed dialogue with NATO and other allies and partners on strategic issues.

    4. Announced a plan to responsibly end the war in Iraq.

    5. Provided funding to families of fallen soldiers have expenses covered to be on hand when the body arrives at Dover AFB.

    6. Ended media blackout on war casualties and the return of fallen soldiers to Dover AFB.

    7. Signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act which has created 2.1 million jobs (as of 12/31/09).

    8. Launched Recovery.gov to track spending from the Recovery Act, an unprecedented step to provide transparency and accountability through technology.

    9. Announced the “Making Home Affordable” home refinancing plan.

  5. #1– what are the accomplishments of Thune, Rounds, and None?———#2– What shape was this country in 8 years ago after a (r) president?– #3–What were the accomplishments of that president? #4— List the things the Repugs have done in the last eight years that benefited this country…

    1. jaa dee’s post id fascinating because most of the “proud moments” were window dressing on bloated bills that were filled with crony corruption, and massive government overreach. but of course we have to endure jaa dee’s ignorant whitewashing of the real history. what a waste of e-space. no thanks.

  6. Wow!! Obama must be God to accomplish that much in eight years! Just let me pick out one so-called accomplishment as I scanned through — #43 ” Announced a strategy to address the international nuclear threat.” How’s that going with Iran on track now to continue development of nuclear weapons (yeah, they promised – ha – not to, but….they have already renigged on that) and Korea now developing enough rocket power to get a missile to the US. Good job, oh great leader. And that speech today at the UN???? Pretty much George Soros open society blather; not good to be proud of one’s own country, we must be a globalist nation, accept anyone in, and anyone who feels differently is a racist/bigot, take your pick.

    1. the mere fact that jaa dee was pleased and proud of “cash for clunkers” is the clearest proof he (or she) hasn’t applied an ounce of real though to their precious party’s ruinous social tinkering. so so much wealth has been destroyed in the last two presidential terms that history will never see the like again. we couldn’t survive it. we may not survive this.

  7. senator: “wrong track?” many of us were constantly telling you the pelosi reid congress was wayyyy off track long before obama was elected. national republicans have not begun to atone for the sin of losing congress in 2007. we are all paying for that.

  8. And in 20 years of being in DC, the only thing Thune is known for is a tired old basketball story and skipping the RNC.

  9. Thune were still waiting for your proposal to take care of people who have terminal illness to not be kicked off their insurance if Obama, repealed but you don’t have one.

  10. Hmm, Republikans have been blathering on about “ObamaCare” for way more than 2 years. What have they gotten passed to correct it or improve on it since they’ve been in control of Congress? What have they done to improve our nation’s infrastructure? What have they done to simplify taxes?
    A big squat.
Oh, and where would their nominee for President stand on President Obama’s accomplishments? Smack against every one.

    1. Obama’s “accomplishments” are exactly why people think the country is going in the wrong direction. Obamacare is imploding; but the GOP really couldn’t do anything about it because Obama would veto anything he felt was impacting his legacy. Just what did all Obama’s stimulus money accomplish in infrastructure shovel ready jobs; oh, right, Obama even admitted they weren’t all that shovel ready; so what happened to all that money? Open borders and amnesty and sanctuary cities — another accomplishment we could do without. War on coal; energy prices will necessarily skyrocket (to quote the great one himself); now war on fisheries in the northeast; good job. Hundreds of new regs (now laws but just regs that didn’t go through Congress). Yessirree; Obama has surely done a lot. Oh, I forget his great legacy with expanding the unrest in the Middle East, giving money to Iran as ransom and lying about it, expanding ISIS; yeah, he sure has done a lot. Of course, if you like all this, and you evidently do, then if elected Hillary will be Obama’s third term and will double down on everything.
