A new anti-abortion group has apparently formed, and has adopted the furthest-right position to date for the next legislative session. This new group including current and former legislators are seeking pledges from legislative candidates to push forward a measure to incarcerate women who have had an abortion:
Hot off the press:

The group claims Current State Rep’s Tony Randolph and Dylan Jordan, as was as former House member Patricia Shiery, who got booted off the ballot this year. Also included are former candidate Heather DeVries, and Gretchen Weible.
If any candidate receives this survey, I’ll tell you to throw it away. But you could also use it to line a bird cage, or clean up after a messy pet before you throw it away.
Seriously. If anyone is dumb enough to fill this out and return it, you deserve the negative attacks you’re going to get, because they want candidates to fill this out to be wielded as a weapon against them.

The far right rarely supports public safety legislation so this appears to be a notable exception.
Any questionnaire is used as a weapon. Dumb commentary. If life is less worthy after birth vs pre birth you don’t understand pro life
Any survey with Phony Tony’s name on it has got to be questionable at best.
The law bill numbered 1212 was crushed in the committees and only supported by Jordan, Andera, Baxter, Garcia and the pretty young Ms. Brandei. The 5 horsewomen of the apocalypse.
With none of those insanerites returning next year, a tough hoe to road.
Check with the Nat’l temperature is on this issue. South Dakota is in the minority.
The Heebie-jeebies have overcome the Weibles, their named and un-named associates with the defeat of one of their allies Viktor Orban in Hungary. President Putin another close associate is devastated. Please! A moment of silence and reflection is requested.
Yes!
Victor Orban was undermining Ukraine and Europe while supporting Russia. Good Riddance!
Would Gretchen be Rick’s wife?
Possibly, but she looks more like a sister.
she is Rick’s wife. She ran Monae Johnson’s campaign
They lost me at “preborn” children.
“Born” is a past participle. The verb “bear” is the present tense, “bore” is the past tense, “bearing” is the present participle or gerund, and “born” is the past participle, a verb used as an adjective.
If a child has already been born, he is “preborn.”
If you do not know the difference between pre-cooked and uncooked, I do not want to dine at your home.
If you do not know the difference between pre-assembled and unassembled, I would not send you to buy a bicycle.
And if you do not know the difference between preborn and unborn, I am not going to waste any of my time or money on you..
Preborn children are acquired through adoption agencies like Bethany Christian Services and Catholic Family Services. If you want preborn children to be placed with new parents, that is where you should send money.
I received this survey. I won’t be filling it out.
I’ve spent decades in the pro-life movement — in the legislature, leading South Dakota Right to Life, and serving on the National Right to Life board — and I have enormous respect for the passion that motivates people to fight for the unborn. But passion is not the same as wisdom.
HB 1212 was crushed in committee 8-5, killed to the 41st day 9-4, and when Dylan Jordan tried to smoke it out onto the House floor, that failed too.
Nearly 20 states have seen identical bills. Not one came close to passing. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops opposed it. South Dakota Right to Life opposed it. Tony Perkins and the Family Research Council oppose it. There’s a reason: criminalizing women is not a pro-life strategy — it’s a gift to the abortion industry, and it’s the fastest path to seeing abortion written permanently into our state constitution when the next Amendment G arrives.
The real battle is mifepristone and the federal supply chain. Chemical, mail-order abortion drugs now account for 65% or more of all abortions and are being shipped right past every state law we’ve fought to pass. Senator Hawley’s Safeguarding Women from Chemical Abortion Act would strip FDA approval from mifepristone for abortions and close that loophole once and for all. That’s where serious pro-life leaders are focused — not on locking up frightened women while the manufacturers who profit from their suffering walk free. That’s where I’m focused.
I’d encourage every candidate who receives this survey to do exactly what’s suggested above.
Fred, I agree, to a point. However, the general feeling,
across the nation is, if you are going to be consistently pro-life , you better figure out where you stand on this issue. South Dakota, by defeating it, is not LEADING the country. It’s time to change our stance. I, for one, had the same feelings as you did two months ago. I’m opening my eyes now. You,I, and Leslee, need to research this further. The knee-jerk reaction is as you have stated above. The consistent – logical and legal- idea is not that clear cut.
When I read this, I simply sat there and shook my head. I don’t have a bird cage, but I do have a messy pet.
What percentage of SD voters would support this measure? Ten? These radicals are so lucky that nobody votes in a primary. We, however, are not so lucky.
Is Ismay involved? That logo looks very similar to a couple of his goofy organizations and committees.
Where there’s crazy, there’s Ismay.
No need to worry. These issues will all be solved shortly. Our Messiah has arrived! The long wait is over.

Sorry, that link may not work now… but you can just check out new
Drudge article: Mocks Jesus on Truth.
Or maybe he demoted himself already?? Can’t seem to find Trump’s image that he just sent on Truth Social anymore. It showed him appearing like Jesus, healing people.
The guy is not well.
That level of blasphemy is going to upset even the evangelicals, and they’ll put up with damn near anything from him.
The Lord Jesus Trump made it disappear
I thought it was funny
Of course.
But now Trump claims that he thought he was a “doctor” in the image. So, go to Drudge and see what a doctor looks like this morning. I had no idea.
Lots of doctors appear in red robes, emanate light from their hands, and have winged beasts flying above their heads. Haven’t you ever watched Grey’s Anatomy?
