And more county Republicans abusing their office.

Just another example of things that some of the county Republican organizations are doing that would’ve had them taken to the woodshed in years gone past:

No, I’m not referring to Black Hills resident Brandei Schaefbauer. I am referring to Rich Hilgemann, who is allowing the use of his Republican Party title in connection with this event.

Just mark this one down in your book, and maybe something for donors to remember next time they come around with their hands out.

  1. Rules for thee but not for me! No wonder state and most county GOPs have a rough time with $. Oh wait, it’s because they lack morals

    1. Toby’s Mulligans Bar is small. A slightly larger Main Street old retail space Engels Event Center (formerly Engels Music) which usually sits empty because so many locals will not do business with Doeden would probably be too big for his party. That would not look good with all those windows for people to see hardly anyone in there for Toby’s party given how much he is unliked in the Hub City.

      1. The Engels Event Center is another Doeden owned property. It is highly doubtful that place is profitable since it is rarely ever rented out.

  2. Young Mr. Dennert’s papa must be preparing to go into his grave already rolling over. grudznick expects Paul could still pull the boy over his lap and do a little course correction.

    1. Paul is Grandpa, not Dad. Biggest influence in Drew’s life was his mother’s home-schooling community and, unfortunately, reinforced by paging and interning for Stace Nelson

      1. I met Drew’s mom once. She was telling people she does not consume any food that is “pasteurized.”
Since “pasteurized” means heat-treated, to at least 161F, I took that to mean she doesn’t eat anything that has ever been heated to more than 160F.
She was explaining this to a group of women as if it confers some sort of moral or spiritual benefit.
It was all I needed to hear to feel sorry for Drew, who apparently grew up without Mac ‘n’ Cheese, PB & J sandwiches, pizza, pancakes, hot dogs or apple pie.
I don’t even want to imagine Thanksgiving dinner in that house.
Cut Drew some slack, folks, He had a weird childhood.

  3. Drew and Brandi are also on the Brown County Executive Board along with Rich. It’s against the bylaws for them to endorse a Republican Candidate for the primary election. They should all resign.

  4. Rules for thee, not for me — The Drew Dennert life model.
Why does Brown County keep electing him? Oh that’s right, he threatened the two people that took out petitions to run for the county commission this spring, and they never turned them in, thus Drew was unopposed.

Time to clean house Brown County – you’ve got rats!

    1. Does Doeden like homeschooling? Hansen is a big fan of giving taxpayer dollars for home schooling.

      1. Doeden has been fairly quiet on this front. Hansen/Odenbach are not friends of most homeschoolers. Most homeschoolers just want to be left alone and don’t want money and the requirements that come with it. That’s why Odenbach’s tax payer funded voucher system failed, it came with strings attached that homeschool parents wanted nothing to do with. Hansen did say during the debate however, that on day 1 he would provide taxpayer funded scholarships to Private School Families. How fitting that both him and Odenbach have kids in Private Schools.

      2. Doeden says he is going to eliminate property taxes, which are the funding source for the public schools, so my guess is, he is for everybody home-schooling their kids, whether they want to or not

  5. Drew Dennert born with a silver spoon in his mouth, coddled, an example of why homeschooling can be bad for kids. Hyper protected environment with very limited life experiences which end up forcing their narrow minded beliefs on others.

    1. Watching posters here attempting to weasel their way out of this conclusion by trying to no true scotsman the issue to death is simultaneously hilarious and infuriating.
