Just seeing another video on Facebook where people from every walk of life are attesting to how as a City Councilwoman, Christine Erickson made things happen in that community.
In this one, John Snyder co-founder of 605 Creative relates how Christine helped his group get a Sioux Falls flag approved by the City Council. (The same flags her opponent flies off his trailer as he campaigns for the office.)

Saying she has a full head of steam doesn’t make it true, respectfully. This is going to be a tight race.
Tight until the vote south of 57th Street comes in, then it will be all over with CE as the victor.
Umm, I recall Mayor PTH was the main driver on the city flag initiative.
Which do you think had a bigger impact? Passing the city flag or greenlighting the parking ramp debacle?
Well said!
I remember sitting in council chambers the night this bi-partisan ordinance passed. I went to get a drink with John thereafter. Seems a lifetime has passed since then. My memory: PTH and Christine were united on this issue. The only opposition I recall was offered by a set of residents who provide public criticism weekly, as is their Constitutional right.
Maybe you didn’t pay too much attention to Brookings, but the flag issue wasn’t some Herculean task to accomplish. Erickson needs this campaign to end soon because the longer it drags on, the less excited people are becoming about her winning. She is feeling like a continuation of the Huether- Ten Haken style which everyone across the political spectrum is tiring of. Smith, despite his MANY faults, is at least different in that regard.
If she wants to take responsibility for the flag (which she had a minor part at best), where the heck was she with the multi-million dollar dumpster fire of a parking garage debacle that happened on her watch?!
Not a huge fan of another candidate that all the people with money support. I think Sioux Falls needs some balance. How many more TIF-funded apartment complexes do they need?
That’s it?
A flag?
Clearly this blog has nothing better to report on. I question what she promised to Powers for him to constantly run these pieces for her. So many people are sick of her and the data centers.
