I received the following text blast of recycled buzz phrases yesterday from the Hansen for Governor campaign, and couldn’t help but think “well, that’s kind of needy.”
We are ending woke.. Ending woke what? And we get an image claiming Hansen is the only trusted and proven conservative and will stand firm. Which after his flip/flop on the prison and ultimate vote to keep people and law enforcement employees less safe, I would argue the ad should more correctly point out he’s the least trusted and self-serving.. remembering he was before the prison before he was against it.
The text blast coming on Native American Day seemed just kind of random. It’s like the campaign felt it needed to do something with all the money it collected from their Pizza Ranch fundraisers and show some signs of life by advertising. And a text blast was the best they could do.
At this point, you have to wonder if they’re in the mode of just throwing things against the wall to try to delay Hansen’s inevitable dropping out of the race. Or at least prevent it from happening before January.
He is NOT Conservative, he is Populist.
Conservatives don’t vote against capitalism and economic development.
The fonts in that ad/meme/whatever are all over the place! Not conservative font usage!
He is absolutely the worst option for Governor of SD! Definitely NOT a Conservative…just riding on the crazy radical Anti pipeline train.
Agree with all comments so far. I’ll add that he and his running mate are poor legislators and the last thing we need is them serving at a higher level!

The Panderer’s basement dweller for governor nemesis Doeden has a comical campaign video now where one moment he is talking about a sniper and then boasting he will be the toughest Governor in SD history in the war for drugs. The viewers can clearly see a Bush Light sign in the background along with two kegs. Was this filmed at Legends in Aberdeen that Toby has boasted is the largest video lottery casino, booze and smoke, vape plus other intoxicants shop in Aberdeen?
Will we have enough prison capacity under a Gauleiter Doeden administration?

He’s the Walmart brand John Mayer in ill-fitting jeans, with his guitar, pandering to the populist’s speaking points, desperate for attention and power, he doesn’t care who he steps on as long as he gets higher on the ladder.
Jon will champion any conservative cause so long as he can take 1/2 of the fundraising.

There are a lot of conservatives who would like to support Jon Hansen, but we’re not going to because we know he lacks campaign and executive skills. He’s a good man, but he wouldn’t be a good governor.
