SECRETARY OF STATE ANNOUNCES UNSUCCESSFUL CHALLENGE TO U.S. HOUSE PETITIONS
(Pierre, S.D.) – Secretary of State Monae L. Johnson has announced that James Bialota’s challenge to Attorney General Marty Jackley’s candidate petitions was unsuccessful. Attorney General Jackley will remain on the ballot as a Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives at the Primary Election held on June 2, 2026.
A Republican candidate for U.S. House requires 2,171 valid signatures to appear on the ballot. April 1, 2026, the Secretary of State’s office completed the random sample of the petition signatures and found 86.7 percent to be valid.
Based on the results of the random sample, 3,168 signatures were deemed valid. Mr. Bialota’s challenge resulted in seven additional signatures within the random sample being deemed invalid. This impacted the overall validity rate by a little over one percent leaving Jackley with 3,126 valid signatures.

What a joke. James knows he can’t win a fair election so he is playing games to try to get Jackley off the ballot. I’m tired of his frivolous challenges and legal claims that every elected official and judge has committed felonies and needs to be arrested. The only candidate who has committed a crime is Bialota- a jury convicted him of assaulting a 12 year old boy. Fact check that James.

grudznick had to go look at the internet pages about this Biolata fellow. He seems like a conspiracy nut job, insaner than most and much like Ms. Marjorie Green, but I do like the spiffy haircut he sports.
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m starting to think Biolata may not be a very serious candidate.
Maybe Biolata’s tinfoil hat is out of tune.
He’s nuts! If you listen to his social media, he wants other to use citizen powers of arrest on Jackley and bring him to justice. I wonder, why doesn’t he do it?

I think my biggest bewilderment of it all is how he actually got enough petition signatures to get on the ballot. Utterly shocked. Good on him IF his heart was in the right place BUT it appears he’s out for publicity. Could be wrong.
Fact: Bialota was recently convicted by a jury for assaulting a 12 year old boy. Now he thinks all elected officials and judges have committed fraud and need to be arrested and jailed.
Fact: He is doing the same thing as Trump, and expecting the same results as Trump. I’m not sure why Trump gets a pass from the followers, and James doesn’t…..
After the 2024 election we saw plenty of nut jobs go to Pierre.
