After Rep. Andera, Phil Jensen, Dylan Jordan, Brandei Schaefbauer, etc. brought House Bill 1181, to prohibit weather and climate modification activities and provide a penalty therefor, days later it was “Withdrawn at the Request of the Prime Sponsor,” We thought we might be safe from the jet chemtrail conspiracists this session.
But they came back.
In her new legislation, House Bill 1271, Rep. Andera accompanied by Rep’s Baxter, Jordan, Rice, and Sjaarda brought a further watered down measure, in case HB1181 was too crazy to deal with a made up peril from the Internet.
And this morning, after being supported by the sponsor, Rep. Dylan Jordan, anti-election machine zealots and other people who spend too much time on the internet, it was sent to the 41st day on a vote of 7-3.
But don’t fear. The climate crackpots have another bill in. This time to make it a felony to “remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.” (Sponsors: Representatives Andera (prime), Baxter, Jordan, Schaefbauer, and Sjaarda)

I’m guessing so, since they’ve stopped promising to shoot down planes.. and they’re just going to make us felons if we have trees in our yards.

Every single sponsor and supporter of this should be primaried. Wow, how have we sunk so low. Next year there will be a bill to allow teaching of a flat earth in school science class.
There’s a great scene in the movie “Interstellar” where the daughter gets in trouble at school for bringing in an “old federal” textbook which shows the moon landings, because the current approved state textbook claims the Apollo missions were a hoax.
I watched this right after the video was posted on SDPB’s youtube channel. My immediate thought was with the money needed for the Capitol restoration and repairs why not have a self serve cash bar in committee rooms? I rarely ever drink but was sure needing one watching this bill be heard in committee. That bill was bad. Really bad!

Each one of these should spark a floor fight to amend, with language which ejects any “yes” voter immediately from the chamber and bars them from holding office ever again. Forever.
You infer that geo engineering is in some way not real. Why do you say this?
Because only absolute idiot believe in chemtrails. If we could control the weather so simply, then why wouldn’t we be reversing climate change?
Geoengineering does exist, by ways of dumping millions of tons of CO2, Methane, and PFAS into the atmosphere. It exists by deforestation and habitat destruction. But it also exists by reintroducing native species into protected habitats, reducing greenhouse emissions, and yes by planting trees.
