The Jon Hansen for Governor campaign went on the air with a commercial today, which they have available on their facebook page.
Interestingly, the ad appears to feature Brown County farmer Jared Bossly who according to court documents allegedly threatened to kill surveyors for the Summit pipeline:
When Bossly found out Summit Carbon surveyors came to his farmstead to conduct their surveys, he allegedly threatened to kill them for entering his property without his permission, court documents show.
and..
After the lead surveyor told Bossly he would ensure they clean up after themselves, the farmer allegedly responded, “when I get there, I’m killing the first person I see.”
and..
Upon hearing this, the surveyors left Bossly’s property without completing the surveys and have not returned “due to his threat that he would kill us,” the affidavits state.
Not exactly sure who supposedly was bullying who when they came out with a tripod to do a survey.

Jared Bossly is nothing but a pipeline trained monkey. He will do anything for a buck, include cry and act like a victim. The guy can hardly string together a competent sentence, and they just parade him around for show.
The anti-pipeline initiative has to wash feed and cloth him — quite literally – the klipfel’s tell anyone and everyone how they had to literally wash him, get him a haircut and buy him new clothes before they threw him up on a stage to be a “keynote” in Vegas. Anyone in Brown County knows if he’s wearing sleeves, he was dressed for show.
Dance monkey, dance!
Like all the rest of everything Hansen does, this is just an act.
This is funny.
You know the SDGOP chairman just started wearing sleeves when he got that job.😆
Birds of a sleeveless feather!
Sorry Pat, they brought out a lot more than just a tripod at his property. They actually did damage directly to his property by drilling on it.
In fact this year, all the legislators in the South Dakota Legislature passed SB88 which some labeled as the Bossly bill to prevent something like that from happening again.
Senate was 34-0 and House was 66-0 and signed by Governor Rhoden on March 11th.
Just remember: Oil and natural gas pipelines are good. Ethanol plants taking up water and resources good. Carbon pipelines, windmills and data centers are bad.
That’s correct.
I’m sure it will blow minds that most property owners hold surface rights only.
Well I am a resident of the area. From what I have heard is that SCS made it his problem. They literally showed up on his property were drilling test holes in his property. They damaged crops along the way. Also that thing were he allegedly said that has never been proven. The time when they did the samples they came with armed guards. Also at one point before a surveyor went into his house and shop without permission. I think ghe surveyor announced his presence but still. Btw I am a Strong Dusty Supporter and will be voting for Dusty in the Primary.
More the fool you.
Why is that?
You recognize the threat of overbearing government, but then state your support for the candidate most likely to abuse any executive power given him.
I just moved my fence, that borders forest service, to the bottom of a draw on public land. I’m tired of fixing fence on this god awful slope. The current rocky slope that frequently washes out. Gained me some nice grassy acreage of public land as well. Never seen a Forest Service LE back there. By the time they figure out it will be 20-30 years. I’m voting for Hansen because he will have my back when they come and tell me to move my fence back. Thanks Jon!
You’re slightly mistaken. Because Jon takes credit for absolutely everything, he moved your fence, and he gained you a nice grassy area at the bottom. Jon also acts as the forest service LE. That way in 20-30 years he’ll know the entire story so he can save you from the clutches of the federal government! Instead of Jon Hansen on the ballot in that spot it should read I or Me. Same difference. He’s a pompous ass
So most people who opposed the pipeline are probably voting for Larry,Jon or Toby.
Why is Hansen doubling down on an issue he is already solid on? His problem is no one knows who he is.
If Hansen knew how to run a campaign or win he would tell us about himself.
Actually if he wanted to win he most certainly would not tell us about himself.
Lowest budget Gov ad I’ve ever seen
This is likely the first time Jon has ever been on a farm. This qualifies him to be governor?? It’s a good thing we have better choices.
