I just can’t get this image out of my head after seeing this picture in the SD Searchlight article, where the hand-counting zealots and Heather Baxter are clinging to the insane notion that they want to get rid of machine counting of ballots after a primary election with a ridiculous permutation of different ballots between the precincts, cities, schools, counties, legislative district and statewide elections. (Wasn’t it over 100 different ballots in Minnehaha County alone?)
Hopefully the SD Canvassing group has been driven to extinction after this last primary election.
It’s crazy to see all the crazies who lost this primary complain that ES&S is fraud. But when a crazy wins they say nothing. Example: Pennington County board meeting today Karen McNeal said she lost again by the same margin. Did she forget who she ran against???? Helene has been around for a long time and people know here and what she stands for. So if you keep running against the same smart great person you will get beat. STOP TRYING KAREN.
Rick should go back to Minnesota. One of the long Covid symptoms, so to speak, is all the people who moved here from 2020-2022. At first, many were worried that the Minnesotans and Californians moving here would bring their liberal policies. I think what we missed is that it wasn’t the whack job liberals moving here. It was the whack-job right wingers moving in with all their conspiracy theories and wanting to ‘fix’ South Dakota. Newsflash – South Dakota has been run pretty well for many decades. It’s why you moved here in the first place. Looking at you Weible, Cali Carley, and Heath Shields. Stay if you wish – all are welcome – but step aside with your whack job ideas – it’s time for the adults to run things again.

Unfortunately they are here to stay…we had 2 huge sd canvass people run for commissioner here in McPherson county. They ran on that issue. They lost resoundingly. One race was 70/30 the other was 90/10 by way of percentage. The 90/10 schmuck who lost then had the audacity to go to the commission and tell them that the voters didn’t give them a mandate, but a path to redemption for all the mistakes they’ve made. You can’t make this shit up. I’ve been around enough of them to find commonality in that they are all miserable in life. No friends, not happy at home ect…

Just watched the Pennington County Commission meeting today. During public comment, three election deniers claimed widespread fraud in the June 2 primary somehow resulted in 16 “good conservative” legislators being voted out of office. According to them, the election was predetermined by voting tabulators. Apparently South Dakota voters are capable of making their own decisions right up until they disagree with these folks.
The Commissioners discussed hand-counting the upcoming Governor’s race. I’m not sure if the goal is to appease the conspiracy crowd or finally prove to them that the machines aren’t secretly controlled by a cabal of county auditors and retired lunch ladies. Either way, giving these clowns a taxpayer-funded stage to recycle debunked election fantasies isn’t helping.
My fear is that this gets worse before it gets better, especially with Mullaly likely becoming the next auditor. By the way, if “good, conservative” candidates were targeted, how in the hell did Tina sneak through the cracks and get elected. At some point, South Dakota needs to decide whether we’re going to run elections based on evidence and facts or based on whichever Facebook post made someone angry that morning.
It is painfully obvious that while claiming to be good, God fearing, conservatives, they reach for and offer every liberal interpretation on all of their fronts. True conservatives do not draw on inferences and call it fact. A true conservative looks only at facts without liberal interpretation of circumstance, the rule of law and common sense.
There are so many people in that group that just cannot see the forest through the trees. There are blinded by their own off axis spin that they believe their own crap! If they can’t find facts in South Dakota, let us reference some other state and apply their bad news to South Dakota. If they can have their pet auditor call the other auditors liars and cheats, then they take the real cheat’s words as gospel and spread them across all other auditors. The only truth in this is that the common denominator in all this stupidity is them, their group, their followers, their contributor$ and their wonky-donkey agenda of spreading lies and mistrust.
Probably the biggest liberal lie is their self-proclamation of being experts. No wonder Doby Toden endorses himself; he is running on their playbook.
Lastly…the SDC is bashing No-Way Monea as a traitor. They recruited her, pimped for her, thought she was “the bomb” and then when she gave them the boot they deserved, their snowflake personalities couldn’t handle it! I personally think this convention will be exactly as it was four years ago. They have recruited Heather, pimped for her, called her the bomb. Do you suppose when Heather sees the light and realizes they are just manipulating puppeteers and harmful to her campaign, her future in office and her credibility as a person, and she dumps the crap in the septic tank, they too will turn on her.
