Incumbent in District 26 Senate feeling the heat, after launching attack on Rebecca Reimer

Senator Tamara Grove is clearly feeling the heat from State Representative Rebecca Reimer’s challenge in her race, as this weekend, Grove took to social media to insinuate – without directly naming her – that Reimer was was not supportive of rural health care.

And Rebecca wasn’t going to hear any of that nonsense, as she was quick to fire back on social media, with receipts:

The original post from Grove was then edited on facebook… Which I would interpret to guess that Tamara is double checking things, because Rebecca is ready to bring it.

Check it out on Facebook.

UPDATE: I missed this earlier. An Army of colleagues current and past of Rebecca’s came out in droves to put down Grove’s claims of Reimer not supporting rural health:

That’s a pretty long list!

  1. Tamara couldn’t even be bothered to get her own district correct in her post. I guess when you hop districts it’s hard to keep them straight.

  2. Tamara is confused and tired, she has to drive to district 26 everyday from her house in Sioux Falls. Give her some grace.

  3. As a rural resident I am getting a bit tired of politicians thinking the rural lifestyle needs to be fixed in any way.
If we did not enjoy living on gravel roads miles from any traffic lights, emergency services, HOAs, trash hauling services and doggie leash laws, we would move to town. We would not stay here; we would give up our chickens and barn cats and move.
We are quite happy where we are, setting off fireworks, shooting tin cans off fenceposts, letting our dogs and children roam free..Many of us used to live in town and we hated it. If we need healthcare we can drive to wherever we need to go to get it.

    1. Sorry, I am also a rural resident and I want to have access to an ambulance service if I need it or if my neighbors need it. I guess I like being alive.

Reimer is a shining star of the legislature. Tamara really reeks of desperation here.

      1. With the electric coop putting our power lines underground, every farm will soon have a helicopter landing zone.
        Problem solved!

    2. So you’re ok with expecting mothers to drive three hours one way for a prenatal visit? Heaven forbid there be a complication in the pregnancy and they have to make that drive, instead of a half hour to town for medical treatment.

If you are ok with the above then you can never bitch then that rural communities are dying and that all your kids move away.

      1. I was pregnant in McLaughlin and drove to Bismarck for obstetrical care. For a baby born in December. Labor was induced early when the weather was nice.
So yeah, I am okay with that.

If you don’t want to live more than 30 minutes away from a hospital, get off your lazy ass, pack your shit and MOVE TO TOWN.

          1. I moved to the country because I prefer the company of animals, not people. There’s a lot of us out here.

Animals don’t call the police when you make too much noise. They don’t complain about the length of your grass or fuss at you about everything your kids do.

We moved put here to get away from all the Karens.
