This is just a bizarre string of happenstance.
Former Congressman Matt Gaetz, who found himself the subject of a House Ethics Committee report, where the House Ethics Committee found evidence that Gaetz paid for sex—including with a 17-year-old—and abused illegal drugs during his tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives recently interviewed outgoing crackpot legislator John “California” Carley.
Carley, aside from other things, was the subject of the public’s ire for running and hiding from a vote this last legislative session. Seriously, he left the capital, was not able to be found, and later claimed he went to a dentist appointment.
Why was the earth’s population subjected to the meeting of these paragons of ethical conduct? They were upset that current South Dakota Secretary of State Monae Johnson said she’d rather vote for a Democrat than support the puppet of the election conspiracists, Heather Baxter as her successor to the office, as they detail on the OAN network:
“unfortunately, very quickly turned and aligned with no election integrity and a kind of corrupt establishment… She went and endorsed a Democrat secretary of state candidate.” “California” Carley claiming we have a ‘corrupt establishment?’ Yeah. I think he understands the meaning of the word as much as he understood his oath of office. As in not at all.
If Matt Gaetz and John Carley are for someone… it kind of gives a person pause as to whether you want to be on the same side as these guys.
It would be interesting to see a poll done for Baxter v. Davis. I know a lot of lifelong, very strong republicans who will be voting for a democrat for the first time this November. Davis.
Monae is acting out of spite. That much is obvious.
This republican voted for the Dem for SoS.
And I left the AG ballot blank.
I thought it was the eye doctor. Nevertheless, birds of a feather…… I too am voting for Davis and leaving AG blank. Davis seems exceptionally smart and appears to have the best interests of ALL citizens at heart. Was there a bit of spite in Monae’s letter, maybe, but it was spot on. It will be an uphill battle for Davis. However, if he wins it will hopefully drive home to all of the crazy ultra right wingers that their time has come and gone. Yet if Baxter wins, start learning from Rick Weeble Wobble how to hand count ballots. Don’t fret though, results will be available in about a week or so.
Gaetz should’ve gone to Prison for rape of a Minor.
Carly should be barred from ever running for office in South Dakota. Seriously anyone who ever voted for him should seek mental hygiene.
