There are a number of far-right legislators allied with far-right gubernatorial candidate and community organizer Jon Hansen who are outraging tonight.
Why? Because the political action committee belonging to far-right gubernatorial candidate Toby Doeden and ran by former legislator Drew Dennert has hijacked their pictures and placed them alongside his own.
“Re: Cease and Desist – Stop Using Unauthorized Use of Our Names and Implied Endorsement.” Is that a double-negative? Has AI slop become that prevalent that they can’t write a coherent sentence?
Do you think it would have been more effective if they had actually invoked the use of grammar or spelled all of the legislator’s names correctly?
Of course, Hansenites, aka 2%-ers, are staging other attacks in retaliation, such as this image Hansen supporters posted to one of the private crazy-pants groups, the so-called Grassroots Conservative Republican Group..

I’d speculate the post card is more about Doeden’s repeated hypocrisy and empty claims and promises when he himself is an addiction profiteer than turning South Dakota into a dry state. Probably does not want to help pay for the damage he helped create and profited from. That said, I find it amusing they think their supporters are too stupid to read the Doeden sent mailer and understand it’s from a Doeden supporting PAC that they all have similar social media posts. Maybe we should crack open the financial disclosures from the 2024 cycle to see how much $ they all accepted from Doeden.

I noticed district 9 incumbents didn’t sign on, clearly they jumped the Hansen ship over to Doeden.
Marty Jackley keeps saying he doesn’t endorse anyone but Toby Doeden keeps using his name/image insinuating that he is… when’s he going to man up, use his lawyer brain and do something?
P.S. I am still going to vote for Marty because there is no way I would vote for Biolata but I’d like to see Marty stand up for himself.

Most of these legislators signed onto this letter happily accepted Doedoe’s money and endorsements two years ago. Hypocrites one and all!

I’m supporting Johnson or rhoden; undecided right now. Need to make my mind up quick… but, I bet all these people were proud to take Toby’s money two years ago.
Vote for Rhoden. He’s a rancher. Doeden is a car salesman who makes the big bucks with a casino and liquor sales. Plus, Doeden is an is an idiot.
Johnson had his day. I can support him generally, there were a few votes that made me uncomfortable. But Johnson doesn’t drive me to the polls. He doesn’t champion a cause or represent some long lost contingent.
