More on shutting off access to legislators and facilities in the State House

I had someone send me more on the House blocking off access to the bathrooms. Accompanied with a photo, they noted that not only has the Speaker decided to prohibit public access to public restrooms, they’ve also sealed off access to the offices of the majority leader and assistant majority leader.

There’s the South Dakota House of Representative’s version of being open & transparent.

  1. It thought the capital was ‘we the peoples’ house. If a county commission did this in a county courthouse the HansNO supporters would screammmmmmmmmmm

  2. I guess we need a line of porta-potties and space heaters at the north parking lot near the war memorial for the proles and plebes to use.
Maybe we can train the ducks and geese to use the porta potties too. Wouldn’t that be nice.

  3. The diabolical machinations of Biden and Pelosi have finally reached deep within the inner sanctums of the South Dakota legislature.
After all, it is inconceivable that duly elected Republican patriots would ever erect barriers to transparency between themselves and those they serve.

  4. This is the attitude of these ultra conservative elected officials. Cut access to everything: knowledge, information, controversy, feedback and now toilets!! Why not? The “We the People” are not in their purview as elected officials. They probably get tired to hearing that so many people disagree with them. Sorry…that’s the job they wanted and now their actions prove they are fit to serve only themselves.

  5. We have long suspected a number of these legislators need to come out of the closet and water closet.

  6. I’ve known for years that you don’t have to visit the restrooms to get a whiff of some of the “stuff” some legislators put out.

Maybe it’s being converted for extracurricular activities.
