PAC ran by Doeden Ally goes after “Jailbreak” Jon Hansen, “the weak on crime candidate for Governor.”

Okay, this made me laugh.

A new PAC, said to be coming out of the Doeden-sphere, is hitting Jon Hansen for being weak on crime with a text blast to Republican phones:

The PAC is fronted by Tabor Schabot of Aberdeen. You can find out more at JailbreakJon.com

    1. No different than Dusty attacking Rhoden or some of the unnecessary primaries that will not change the outcome of the race.

      1. You know Doeden committed to spending $5,000,000 in negative ads against his opponents. Those ads against
        Rhoden came from Doeden.

          1. what’s wrong with the campaign finance laws?
            This is the kind of thing Democrats like to complain about: the laws are fine as long as the candidates you like have ALL the money, they are terrible when the candidates you like can’t raise enough.

  1. Well, he has a proponent of SB70 which let criminals back into the community for er um rehab 😆

  2. Hansen has built his political career on pandering, anti-vaxx, anti-public health and going hard on easy low effort culture war issues with very little actual legislative accomplishments to help everyday South Dakotans.

    What will be the name of the next PAC going after this lightweight?

    1. Now he’s claiming credit for the Maude charges being dropped. I wonder what federal officials he talked to. Or is he just taking credit for the work of others?

      1. The Winter Wheat market was up big today, word around the campfire is the Hansen team is taking credit for it.

  3. Do you all think the fellows who cook up these ads just sit around at night quaffing poorly mixed drinks and spitballing ideas and just laughing and laughing? They can blow Mr. Doeden’s money on stuff like this that won’t move the needle at all but is funny as all get yonder and takes money from Mr. Doeden and buys large bottles of low end distilled spirits in plastic jugs.

    Don’t get grudznick wrong. This is funny. I am sure, very sure, they sit around somebody’s mom’s basement snorting the rum and cokes out their noses as they guffaw on these ideas.

    Toby’s minions laughing. Toby’s minions laughing. Mr. Hansen hears it in his dreams.

  4. He claims credit fof things that ‘others’ actually did.
    * While filming himself at the Maude’s ranch when they weren’t even there for the dog & pony show, he didn’t move the needle one bit to get the charges dropped. Instead, it was a modest statesman who worked confidentially (for over a year) behind the scenes to make it happen along with Ag Secretary Brooke Rollins. That’s why she asked the ‘real fighter’ to fly to DC to speak at the press conference.
    * While Amendment G was failing miserably, there was a last ditch effort to fundraise at the end from the LDF. Meanwhile, Hansen received $160,000 + for ‘consulting fees’. While ‘another real’ statesman gave a large sum of money, the true fighter for life. But you’ll not hear him boast about being the ‘true’ pro-life candidate who gave. Other pro-lifers organized those funds to win, not John Hansen. If you’re truly pro-life you don’t make a profit while ‘boasting’ about being the hero.
    * He claims to be the ‘one’ responsible for the largest tax decrease, while it wasn’t even his original idea. But the goal was to get it ‘across the finish line’. While others didn’t care who got the credit, they let him carry it because it was good for SD. If he didn’t get the credit, he may not have even voted for it! Much like the prison and other important pieces of legislation.
    * He raised his hand to be the leader of the pipeline battle, because he knew it would be good politically for him since he’s an unknown. But thankfully, strong property owner protections were in place because of ‘former legislators’ who worked long before him. They are the real heroes.
    Jon Hansen isn’t ready for prime time and doesn’t have the integrity it takes to be Governor. He needs to get a real job first as he’s getting too much practice as a politician, or an actor.

    1. Picture Meatloaf – “and then you took the words right out of my mouth…” We’ll stop there.

      Below are excerpts from Sec. Rollins ‘releasing’ of the Maude family where she and Noem give Rhoden the credit for obtaining this ‘release’. Why Heather gives credit to someone who stood on the sidelines and didn’t even hire the guy for their lawyer vs the guy who did everything and worked for months on it (quietly) is beyond me. The squeaky wheel gets the oil? Maybe jealous of Kristi? Who knows.

      Quotes::
      Secretary Noem: “Thank you to the Lt. Governor, that is now the Governor of South Dakota, for his discussions on this the whole way along. He was constantly giving me updates on what he heard about the Maude family and how they were suffering. He brought it to my attention when we first heard about the prosecution, discussed it many times, and was supportive of the letters that were written and the calls that were made as well, so I thank him for his leadership and the others that are serving in congress behind me.” {None of which were Jon Hansen}

      Secretary Rollins: “Speaking of the Governor of South Dakota, I’ve talked to a lot of people over the last few weeks about this case, but no one more than Governor Rhoden. So, certainly appreciate his diligence on this issue and the conversations we’ve had many many times and getting to this point, himself a farmer and a rancher, Governor Rhoden of South Dakota.”

      OBSERVATION:
      He IS the one who hounded to get it done. Whether you can admit that is another story. The fact he did it without fanfare is the very opposite of glory hound. Results matter.

      Seriously Hansen – give credit where credit is due. That’s statesmanship.

      1. He’s a political opportunist. Jumps on every issue he knows has a warm fuzzy feel with the hard right. Claims he did the grunt work, (people who actually follow Jon know better). He’s never imagined up real policy change on his own has he?

  5. Doeden committed to $5,000,000 in negative ads as he has too few attributes of his own…not that Hansen is a viable choice either.

    1. Didn’t the Doeden campaign call for civility a while back? What happened and how long did that last?

    2. Maybe Toby can get another type of Corporate Welfare loan & have it forgiven like he did during COVID when car sales were up 30% nationally, even way higher in South Dakota–He got 120 million Plus…
      Or many he can get another 4.3 million dollar TIF..
      Just my his snaky campaign manager Hurley can defraud some more people of larger sums of money. Wonder how many know that Toby’s Campaign manager Hurley has current unpaid Civil Judgments of at least $2 Million & other outstanding financial & Civil Lawsuits
