Photos.. Americans for Prosperity South Dakota Gubernatorial Debate

I finally had a moment to upload my photos from last night’s Americans for Prosperity – South Dakota Gubernatorial Debate. Enjoy!

Moderator & AFP Director Don Haggar questions Marty & Kristi.

Attorney General Marty Jackley addresses the gathered crowd..

As does Congresswoman Kristi Noem, who makes a point…

…as Don listens intently.

Another shot of Marty.

Closing the debate. An absolutely great event!

  1. Don was such a good hire for AFP. Suddenly they have become a major player in SD politics.

  2. If you compare the second and third photos it seems like they both caught about the same size fish.

  3. Why is an out of state lobby firm from Arlington Virginia sponsoring a SD gubernatorial forum?

    1. Did you learn that talking point at an Indivisible or other “resistance” training workshop?

    2. I am not part of the Resistance, Indivisible or any movement and was curious myself.

    1. I found her rude and would have thought so if she had treated George Soro’s group that way. I found her use of logic fallacies a diminishment of her office and her colleagues. And, I found her barely above Michelle Wolf in personal demeanor.

      1. Just agreeing with REPUBLICAN State Senator Nancy Detert, Troy. It’s good to hear all sides of the story. Can we agree to disagree without the name calling? Leave that to the Snow flakes. Thank you.

    2. So what was the bill which was opposed by AFP? Public funding for pornography? How else would you support all those graduates of Florida film schools who don’t want to leave Florida? There’s just so many films you can make about alligators.

  4. Tara, you said it was funny. And, now exactly did you agree with? Her rudeness, her logic fallacies, her demeaning her position and office? And, what side are you looking for? She did’t give any thoughtful information and facts. She just bashed a person who couldn’t respond (she was the Legislator). She is a bully.

And, don’t concern yourself with my feelings. I don’t concern myself much with them myself. I just think she came across as a rude, unhappy person. And, I didn’t find her a bit funny just like I didn’t find Michelle Wolf a bit funny.

  5. My opinion, I thought she was funny, and most of the crowd did too. What’s your opinion about Trump? She can’t hold a candle to him. lol

  6. Tara – I listened to the News Conference video and I’m curious as to what exactly you support? I’m skeptical because of the way they present information. Undocumented immigrants are illegal aliens and by 4mins in I knew there is an agenda because of their word choice. The teacher doesn’t include many details with her complaints. And, why is she upset people are sending their children to private schools, they pay taxes to support public education all while taking bodies out of the classroom. The issue with the voter ID law is weak, do they think people are too stupid and can’t get an ID? I want voters proving they’re citizens and are voting in the proper precincts, having ID’s reinforces that.

Anyway, it was interesting and I can appreciate others’ passion for govt working for the people.

  7. I support legal immigration KM. I believe the Koch brothers support DACA. It’s a tough situation.

    1. Yes, legal immigration is a good thing.

Many businesses benefit from hiring illegals, they keep wages low without much disagreement or push back from the workers. I don’t doubt many illegal workers are paid under the table, so that’s a plus. DACA should be based on the individual. If DACA recipients are breaking the law: rape, theft, smuggling drugs or humans, etc, they need to go. Hey, that might free up space in those prisons the people in that video talked about. Problem solved.

Cheers to your campaign! If elected I hope you’ll be ready to deal with tough situations;)
