I’m told it was quite the event yesterday for the kickoff for the Marty Jackley for Congress campaign in Sturgis at the Loud American (home of the really good steak tips), with about 200 people packed in the room. And there was quite a mix of people..
Murdoc from Dakota Town Hall noted he was sitting between Legislators California Carley and Phil Jensen.. And someone else was in a conversation between Scott Odenbach and Mary Fitzgerald.. lots of polar opposites at the event getting along. (At least for a few hours.)
If Mr Attorney General is planning to go to Washington only to be the newest form of the current do-nothing coward holding office in the GOP right now, I’d wish for his sake that he’d just stay here and keep making SD better and safer. It would help many more people.
That would be Crabtree, who will be bought and paid for by the lobbyists.
This makes me happy.
Jackley is clearly becoming the leader of the GOP.
He’s interested in working with others and not against each other.
That’s real leadership. Bring everyone into the tent. Bring everyone to the table.
Some might call it pandering for votes. 1 term in he will be labeled, by many in this room, “establishment” and accused of “forgetting where he came from.”
I hate when you come in with controversial takes like that! Those steak tips are mediocre at best!
