Interesting 17% “Definitely should Not”
Wasn’t it 17% statewide turnout that got us into this embarrassment?

The fall of the South Dakota Republican Party.
It is so painful to watch, but necessary. After dominating state politics for decades, the Repubiican Party has to cleanse itself somehow. And it looks like the cleansing this time will probably be by fire. it looks like Doeden is determined to take over the Republican Party by any means necessary. Exercise abundant caution.
He did not apologize, just blamed Democrats for “click bait.” He needs to resign.
You know this state had democrats in the legislature in the past, and we were fine. I’m not sure why this generation has been convinced by media there is no other choice and that these dems are just too bad to consider. It may be time to consider giving the extremists a bit of competition, we have moderate democrats who could work out for all of us, we don’t have to be this backwards state.
It’s not only that Democrats have to put up decent candidates, but that everybody who voted for Republicans needs to compare the result of their votes with their actual values. For instance, low teacher pay. If teacher pay is important to you, then it is impossible to vote for any Republican because the machine will not let higher pay happen. Independents and Democrats can challenge that entrenched Republican power structure without being punished. But we have so many issues – environment in the Black Hills, the out-of-control tax system that has hard-working South Dakotans subsidizing large corporate farms, the constant battle initiated by out-of-state pipeline companies. There are a lot of issues to consider and Republicans are NOT the right choice on many of them for a LOT of South Dakota voters. This problem doesn’t exist only in South Dakota. Every state that has been dominated by one party for decades has the same issues – whether dominated by Democrats or Republicans. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
The claims of “it’s a meme post” might have skated by if he hadn’t made posts about having a “whites only” country in the past. He’ll never apologize, despite this. Utter coward of a man, either way.
Logan appears to enjoy the attention whether it be good or bad displaying classic Narcissistic behavior . If you look he had all kinds of professional photos made for himself expecting he is going to be a career politician and fast climber at the expense of others. Watched his behavior in Pierre. Another of these horrible legislators that never should have been elected to office.
