One of South Dakota’s worst legislators, State Representative “DJ Jazzy” Jordan, the legislator who either lives in his mom’s or his nana’s basement depending on who you ask, is out on facebook today whining about overbearing government control in our schools:

Because you know, COVID and stuff..

Yet interestingly, Rep. Jordan makes no mention of his own efforts to dictate what should happen in schools, which include sponsoring a bill which tried to mandate big ten commandment posters be put up in all classrooms, with teachers required to include instruction including the commandments handed down to Moses on Mount Sinai in their curriculum, such as when they teach welding or swim class.

I’m not sure what smacks more of “government control,” telling kids they can’t bring cell phones into classrooms because they’re distracting, or that “Thou shalt not commit adultery” when trying to join 2 pieces of metal at a 45 degree angle?

That’s kind of a head scratcher.

  1. District 4 which includes Clark, Codington, Deuel, Grant, Hamlin, and Roberts counties needs a normal human being who would be a candidate to step up and run. Presently the two choices are extreme and terrible.

  2. Good to see Rep Alyward, leader in the Freedom Caucus, gave his support of the post with a thumbs up. Less Government control, unless it’s for the control I want then look the other way!

  5. I heard the DJ speak in Sioux Falls in conjunction with one of those Ron Paul committess/orgs. He has zero substance and only speaks in buzz words such as “government schools”. Provides zero insight or intelligent arguments.

    1. Based on your mentioned accolades, Hansen and Odenbach will most likely make him the chair of the Education committee this next session? And what are Government Schools? I always thought they were Public Schools?

  6. The hypocrisy from Dylan Jordan is mind-boggling. I would call him out on it, except he probably doesn’t understand big words like “hypocrisy.”

    1. Don’t blame MAGA, these idiots in NE SD are a coven of their own. Way beyond what MAGA was about.

      70% of the legislators in NE SD need to be flushed down the sewer.
