  4. I would say a quick “ok” to this EXCEPT FOR all of the brainless “yes” votes that the GOP gave to Trump’s stupidest people and stupidest ideas. And YES taking zero action on Trump’s worst orders is a YES vote. You’re all complicit Mr Majority Leader.

    1. Even my favorite ex governor, sad to say. Complicit in the looting, the constitutional violations, the collapse of tourism and trade. All of it. Hope it’s worth it.

  7. Both Thune and Rounds abrogated their responsibilities as US senators by allowing Trump to impose tariffs, a tax paid by Americans and not by foreign nations. Court said only Congress can levy taxes, not the president acting unilaterally. Country is in quite the mess and a lot of the fault lies at the feet of Congress for not doing their jobs.

  9. Surprisingly, Rounds has been the most steady conservative vote in the SD delegation. He’s a sponsor on the SAVE act which the libs lose their mind over. That’s good enough for me.

    1. LOL I hear she sent words of forgiveness and assurances of ICE staying away from the reservations gosh darn it. I’m told they all quickly banned her from their reservations again.
      Kind of awkward with Trump having shown Rounds his full support and Rounds delivering full loyalty to the Big Gold T. Maybe Noem can make that Lewandowski endorsement into something. If she runs.
      Rounds had an amazing eight full years as a very good governor, and a solid Senate career, while Noem was chasing after Trump, quit her Governor job early, and wasted untold billions of dollars for the fun of jetting hither and yon for no really good reason as DHS director. She’s a basket case. She needs to ride this DHS thing to the very end since she set it all in motion.

      1. If she really is going to get in the Senate race, then maybe Trump is already freezing her out at DHS and letting Homan have it, kind of like the freeze out Trump did with Marjorie Taylor Greene. I hope not, she needs to stay at DHS.

    1. Noem 2020 would easily beat him. Noem 2026 is damaged goods and should start asking Trump to be named ambassador somewhere to get out of the headlines for a few years.

  12. It looks to me like McConnell and Thune are playing a little 2-man game where McTurtle (who is retiring) keeps the SAVE Act bottled up in Committee while Thune pretends nothing can be done.

    Key to unlocking it is most likely to remove/replace Thune as Leader.

    1. Thune and McConnell BOTH want to save and keep the filibuster, they can only pass the SAVE Act by eradicating the filibuster. THAT is what they’re protecting, the only lever of minority power in the Senate. They’ve been in the minority before.

      1. You’re correct in that they want to protect the filibuster. What you fail to deduce is the reason why. It’s not about the minority anymore, despite the claims. The filibuster is absolute toast the minute the Senate turns Dem again. This is incontrovertible given the words spoken by their leaders. So here we are. The filibuster gives great power to a small caucus of senators. John does not want to give that up, despite there being no future for the filibuster when he’s gone. He DOES have options. He just doesn’t like them. The truth matters!

        1. Well, once they’re in the majority again, we’ll see what Dems do. I can’t waste time fantasizing about what vile evil Democrats perpetrate. When Obama was president, Hannity told us practically every night Obama would fulfill what the Black Panthers and Weathermen proposed to do in the 60’s – rail cars filled with white people going to the southwest, to be shot and buried in unmarked mass graves. What do we actually see today? Race culling BY REPUBLICANS against people of color instead. Same crime different side.

          2. I used to watch Hannity all the time and he never said any such thing.
            As for what is going on now, if most of the crimes committed by illegal immigrants are committed by the darker-skinned illegal immigrants, that is just an statistical artifact. If they don’t want to get caught, they can self-deport. Nobody is preventing them from escaping the USA..

            1. He used to rant about Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn ALL THE TIME during the Clinton and Obama years. He regularly would interview and quote a former FBI agent who infiltrated the weathermen, for the “proof” of the plan for culling of middle class whites. PLANTING FEAR which motivates you every time you have the stray thought today that Democrats should just be shot, hung or jailed, and you rev up a new burst of rage. See the patterns? I didn’t question my Dem rage at all until Jan 6 and watched Fox do the clumsiest lie-spinning crap to get back to helping the insurrectionist Trump.

                1. Stay in denial then. It’s how Fox and the GOP created a whole nation of MAGA who’d rather watch their grandkids suffer horribly than ever admit voting for Trump was why they suffer. I had had enough of it, and started living free again. You can too.
