Remember the last FEC Report for the sad sack South Dakota Democrats? Where upon her departure, Ann Tornberg left them with nearly 47K of unpaid bills?
Since that time, Democrats mysteriously filed an “amended” FEC Report, where they pulled a Houdini, and those unpaid bills simply vanished.
Now, I can’t say that they just shifted the attribution of the bills to their State Account to hide them until next year because we won’t know that until the next state filing. But, let’s just say their Federal account is now starting with $16k in the bank, instead of 16k minus 47k:

So, what does the Democrats’ latest FEC report look like?
Democrats raised $47,263.32 this last month, while spending $39,331.62, leaving them $24,556.08 in the bank, claiming $0 in debts and obligations. (At least $0 in debts attributable to their Federal account.)
But getting into the meat of things, it’s still a dismal financial picture for Democrats.
Democrats took in $20,687.15 from people (other than political committees), with over half of their money coming in ($12,491.17) in life support from Party Committees and National Dems, alongside $13,635 from PACs.
And who are the PAC’s infusing Democrats with cash? United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, AFL-CIO SD, Electrical Workers PAC, South Dakota EPIC (SDEA PAC).
Democrats for Life of SD did give the Democrat Party $150. (Are they registered with the Secretary of State? Not finding it right off.) Not that they’re tolerated much in the SDDP anymore.
Literally, the money they have left over in the bank is purely attributable to National Dems and PAC’s. At the same time the Democrat Party is boasting 100,000 fewer voters than the South Dakota GOP.
Not a path for party growth if what they’re aiming for is voters. As noted by the numbers, they need a bit of work on that.
It’s not easy to grow the numbers with the far left fringe like AOC et al being the face of their progressive agenda.
Free money but wait! Who is going to pay for everything?
