Team Taylor and Tyler back in action in District 14

As Taylor Rehfeldt underlined her legislative dominance in the District, Tyler Tordsen recaptured his legislative seat last night from Tony Kayser in a rematch from 2024 which had Tyler emerging victorious this time around, reuniting the legislative team of Taylor & Tyler for District 14.

It’s in recount territory, but unless Leah Anderson badly borked up the results, they should stand just fine.

(In the Senate Larry Zikmund handily dispatched former legislator, former attorney, & former Minnehaha GOP Chair R. Shawn Tornow, so it looks like the entire gang is back together for District 14)

  1. Rehfeldt is sane and reasonable but I don’t love her running PACs and super PACs, shifting around millions of dollars from businesses and very wealthy individuals.

    1. While the amount of money might differ, Odenbach does the same thing. So does the PAC that Amanda radke and mark lapka started. Birds of a feather. May not like it but it’s not against the law.

    2. Well when the legislature isn’t full of insane whack doodles, you can thank taylor for her work

      1. Eh. If the constituents don’t want CO2 pipelines, for example, then the representatives should vote against them. I don’t really care that Poet wants them and gives $100k or whatever to buy advertising to get a favorable candidate elected.

        1. Try 500k. That’s what Poet gave to her super PAC. Nothing but wealthy dudes now checking their hole card after Dusty’s melt down.

      2. Looks like her plan worked. Maybe we should all be giving her a call with gratitude? If Toby wins this runoff then her work will be what saves us from very, very bad legislation.

  2. So glad we have the team back representing my district (14) short of the democratic contender pulling ahead of either. Glad Tony had his freedom caucus Tom Foolery is gone. That’s not who we are as a district. Good riddance Tony.

  3. Makes sense. I remember one day it was like a sea of orange on my street with door knockers.
