First off it was not 10,000 it was more like 4,500 to 7,500. Secondly, no one knows at this time who the ones who switched voted for, or if they actually did vote. Saw some places where some saying they switched & voted for Doeden. So who really knows.
Was initially a Toby fan after Jon. However, since nothing was know about him I researched his crazy history, Toby’s history went from crazy to Crazy Questionable History, Then when I dug into the people surrounding Toby, it got almost Mafia type scary.
Wish we had had better choices this election but do believe that overall Larry cares more about our state and people then Toby ever did.
Larry Rhoden is as real as they come. An average guy from an average background. The fact that a plain spoken man of his upbringing made it to the highest office of state government is a testament to the quality of the character of the people of South Dakota.
Sorry, but some of the Democrats (yes, some of us do talk to Democrats) I spoke to at coffee said they were voting for Doeden because he would be easier to beat. By the election results, I think they may have been right.
Doeden lost 10+ points alone by the company he kept. Brian Lewis, Levi Ravioli, Logan Manchild, Phil Jensen, Brandy & Shad,and others were so fake and annoying. I hope they go crawl in a hole and cry around for a couple of months or longer.
Would not be surprised with the crazy conspiracies that will come out of this such as Communist China was behind all of it. Mind controlling also played a part.
Once you come to perceive that Doeden is a narcissist with a Messiah complex, much of this comes into focus. He had to “create” a crisis (Save South Dakota) that “only he” could solve in order to feed his ego. Yet I he can’t admit that it’s about him personally (They don’t know the man I know…) instead it’s selfless and for us. imagine all the made up crises his family and employees have endured…
From the start this looked like a brave experiment – can someone OTHER THAN Donald Trump grab the reins of MAGA in a state and BE a local Donald Trump for them, or will MAGA be firmly Trump’s and Trump’s alone? I guess we have that answer.
For the sake of argument, Let’s pretend that there really were 10,000 Democrats who switched their registration to vote for Rhoden.

Ok Toby, take 10,000 votes out of Larry’s total and you STILL lost 68% to 32%
Heck, let’s take the 10,000 votes away from Larry and give them to you, you would have lost 62% to 38%.
Could Party Switching have skewed the results? Not in this case.
Had either Dusty Or Rhoden not been in the inital primary election, Toby wouldn’t have gotten as far as a runoff.
With four candidates in the primary the votes got spread pretty thin to where anyone of them could have won it. When there is only two it would be pretty lopsided.
