Thune: American Elections Are for American Citizens

WASHINGTON — U.S. Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) today delivered the following remarks on the Senate floor:
We’ve never had non citizens voting. He’s solving a problem that doesn’t exist. Except other is a problem.
The problem is that if ALL citizens vote. Republicans are toast. Trump has said as m. The SAVE REPUBLICANS act is designed to make it harder for some people to vote and that enough democrats won’t spend the time and money to get the special ID that republicans can steal the election.

Exactly. The SAVE act doesn’t improve voting, unless hobbling and kneecapping the voting process qualify as “an improvement.” I say not. It’s a pretty easy call.

Voting twice has always gotten people jail time. Always has, always will. This law won’t change that, only make it harder to vote ONCE.
Trump has created a problem where one doesn’t exist and Thune has once again joined the Trump bandwagon rather than taking his own constituents into account. There is NO evidence of voter fraud. Native Americans and WOMEN are the losers here. Women who changed their names when they married, older women who don’t have a birth certificate. And what is the cost to get these documents and has the government staffed agencies to respond in a timely manner. This is, indeed, the Save Rich White Male Republicans in Government Act.
