Minnehaha County GOP Central Committee members ejected from County Commission meeting

Two Minnehaha County GOP Central Committee members including SD Canvassing founding member & election goofball Cindy Meyer were unceremoniously ejected from the Minnehaha County Commission for various reasons today, according to the Dakota Scout:

Commission Chairman Dean Karsky asked a sheriff’s deputy to escort Gary Meyer out after Meyer refused to yield the microphone when his five minutes of public comment expired. His wife, Cindy, followed him after taking the microphone and saying, “What a s*** show.”

The two frequently attend county meetings and are among a group of activists who argue the county should scrap vote tabulating machines in favor of hand counting ballots for election results. It’s not uncommon for Gary Meyer to verbally clash with the commission.

Basically, it appears that Gary wanted to take away a day of Christmas vacation from county employees and ran over time, and his potty-mouthed wife Cindy started cursing at the commission.

  2. These are part of the the Jennifer Fuoss / Tom Pischke contingent causing so much trouble in Minnehaha. Considering the less than classy remarks from Tom Pischke (which got him censured), I can’t say I’m surprised. Birds of a feather.

    1. That whole faction has got to go. They do nothing but try to disrupt the rest of the county from doing what they’re supposed to do. I hear the reason why is that they are angry the Chair is refusing to use the country party to (inappropriately) support John Hansen.

      1. Lincoln caved and is opening supporting Hansen. They think they can make Minnehaha cave. Good luck with that. I don’t think Korry will give in to their nonsense.

      2. I noticed Jennifer Foss jumped on Facebook to defend the Meyers. She clearly doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with their behavior. That whole group is awful.

  6. Does anyone remember when Tyler Swanger gave his treasurer’s report and ended up cussing out Cindy and half the county? He accused her of still having access to the account, spreading rumors, and being the source of all the chaos.

    Funny enough, a few months ago I ran into Tyler and his son at a car show — he was showing off a few of his cars (if you know him, that’ll give it away). He’s doing fantastic. We talked about the state and the Minnehaha County GOP, and he just started laughing that big belly laugh of his.

    He said he honestly just hopes everyone finds peace, because he couldn’t understand how people could carry so much hate over politics. Told me he’s completely done with it all — said what should be a civil service for some has turned into nothing more than middle school drama.

  7. Here we go again, the far right GOP thinks rules don’t apply to them. As a life long Republican in Minnehaha County, I’m jumping ship. I can no longer support this party of chaos. I can no longer support this party who does not include all Republicans, and only includes those who want to cause chaos.

    The county GOP and the state GOP and hell, the national GOP have lost touch with hard working, rural; republicans like myself. When I served in the state legislature, and local offices for numerous years, we worked together as a party. Hell, we worked together as a STATE and COUNTY, regardless of party affiliation. And WE GOT SHIT DONE FOR THE PEOPLE.

    The current GOP is not about people, its about self preservation. It’s about self, not we.

    The GOP has lost touch with the people, and it shows. I’m ashamed.
