I don’t understand what he thought he’d get out of fraudulently electing people who didn’t know and wouldn’t go to the convention anyway. And would most likely see their name on the ballot and go wtf?
Probably filling empty precinct spots, to keep the county party from appointing people. I’m guessing the names were people who may have been complicit if they found out in June that oh yes you can go to convention. Or people who don’t know the process. Convention and precinct people need to go. It’s antiquated and way more trouble than just electing everyone in the primary
a couple of years ago he was on some podcast talking about how easy it is to be a precinct committee person, all you have to do is sign up. He didn’t mention the job description, or the fact they would have to pay all their own expenses to go to the convention.
