SDGOP Chair weighs in on Pischke arrest and felony charges

South Dakota Public Broadcasting has an article on how Tom Pischke’s arrest for felony election fraud has filled the State Republican Party Chairman with disappointment:

“The only way it would be a problem at convention would be if he had been charged and decided he was still gonna go to convention and vote,” Eschenbaum explained. “We would’ve had a tough call to me. But he has voluntarily removed himself from that process, so. I guess it’s not an issue for convention at all.

and..

Eschenbaum said he’s disappointed to hear about the charges.

“Tom has been one of our most conservative voters. Just a stellar conservative vote record.” he said.

  1. If any of the petitioners on the fraudulent petitions got elected, then the well is already poisoned.
To the village idiot Eschenbaum, you definitely have a problem.

    1. Three people, Bud Brander, Chris Nelson and Belinda Nelson all want to be Precinct Committee people so they are okay with Tom filing fraudulent forms on their behalf. They didn’t sign those forms.
Will Debra Elliott, the chair of the credentialing committee, do her job and turn them away from the convention?

      1. Temember, turning away those three people from the convention will kot affect the number of votes the Minnehaha County delegation will cast. That number is determined by the number of votes the county brought in for Noem in ’22, not the size of the delegation.
        Kick ’em out!

  2. Don’t forget this is the same guy who wanted criminal charges brought against his fellow senators for being unkind to his seatmate.

  3. Jim Eschenbama is the modern day Beaver Clever. “Aww shucks, Janet, but he was so conservative!”

  4. So the fact that more than a dozen fraudulent precinct positions were discovered and the chair doesn’t see any problems? This calls into question the whole process. How can the state party sweep this under the rug? I believe this was happening in other counties and was orchestrated on a larger scale. Time to elect statewide nominees on the primary ballot.
