From an expanded story on the Dakota Scout, Korry Petterson, the Minnehaha County GOP Chair has harsh words for Senator Tom Pischke if he is in fact determined to be guilty of the fraud against the electorate he is accused of:
Minnehaha County Republican Chairman Korry Petterson said if wrongdoing is proven to have occurred, it should not be tolerated and felony convictions would result in Pischke no longer being allowed to participate in official county party functions.
“I am deeply saddened that something like this has happened. If it turns out to be true, it’s my hope that he’s prosecuted to full extent,” he said. “We can’t have this kind of thing happening in our political system.”
Korry is a rare voice of reason in GOP circles at the moment. Kind of surprising given the unnecessary consonants in his name.
Korry needs to make sure NONE of the people who secured those precinct committee positions with fraudulent filings are credentialed at the convention.
As county chair, he should be calling every one of then and telling them to stay home tomorrow
This is correct. If they didn’t sign and turn in the forms, although they might have declined to sign an affidavit, that still does not make them proper.
If these delegates are credentialed and swing the nomination of any candidate, I hope the losing candidates sue the party.
The party leadership needs a good butt-kicking.
AND FURTHERMORE, if the District numbered 25 needs to replace their candidate for the state Senate, NONE of them should be allowed to vote for the replacement candidate.
I have predicted that Jon Hansen will want that slot. Pischke’s denouement will make that easy now.
Pischke was an embarrassment long before Trump.
The good mews is that if Pischke is forced out of the Senate, Jon Hansen can take his place.
Given they have the same fan base, this will be easy. Really easy.
