D2 Candidate Manuel Luschas withdraws from Senate, runs for House.

That Senate candidacy didn’t last long.

California transplant and District 2 State Senate Candidate Manuel Luschas lasted only a short time in the State Senate race before becoming one of the first candidates to withdraw from the race this year.

According to the Secretary of State filings, Luschas backed out to run for House instead, where he is expected to face a primary.  We’ll see if he sticks around for this one.

  1. I feel bad for that district. Sjaarda who doesn’t know what he’s doing: only speaks on the floor on his own behalf. And a California transplant. SAD

    1. Legally, yes. But we don’t want them bringing their California values and Illinois corruption with them. They need a law bill for a mandatory 10 year residency, concurrent, and other vested interests in the state like having paid your property taxes on time for those 10 years. And, having a tidy lawn.

  2. If we have a D3 legislator who resides in Sioux Falls.
Another who reportedly lives in North Dakota but represents a district in South Dakota.
Why not run for this D2 Seat if one lives in Redfield?
