Democrat activist who filed to take dem leg candidates off the ballot now running himself

Just had this sent over to me. Democrat activist Cully Williams now living in Spink County has announced that he’s running for the South Dakota legislature:

It’s curious, as just a short time ago, he was filing to bump other Democrats off the ballot..

Read that here.

I mean, that’s not going to cause other democrats to check his petitions closely, will it?

  1. Good for Cully Williams! He has lived in Spink County for some time now! I don’t know Cully personally but have observed over time that he is extremely bright, has an incredible work ethic and would be a desperately needed new generation of representation in Pierre. Cully Williams would up the standards of representation in his district.

  2. A “short time ago” meaning 4 years ago??

Cully is awesome and I wish him well in the race and in life.

  3. Cully would be a great addition to the SD House and a breath of fresh air for Spink County! I’m happy to see the younger generations becoming more involved in politics. I’ll be interested to see what ideas he has for healthcare and to help represent our farming community better. Good luck, Cully!

  4. So wait….its a bad thing that he caught an invalid petition and challenged it? Goes to show that even the Dems are looking closely at petitions within their own Party and aren’t afraid to challenge bad ones! Wish our GOP would do the same.

Come on man….at least someone is looking at these petitions! makes you think how many others on both sides have been invalid and yet were elected from both sides! Good for him!
