The District 21 Primary is heating up with former State Senator Erin Tobin taking to facebook to call out her Senate primary opponent, end-time army member Mykala Voita for voting against funding for critical access hospitals including the SIX in their mutual district.
“Today the current District 21 Senator who sits on the appropriations committee and who represents SIX critical access hospitals and the thousands of people they serve, voted against funding for critical access hospitals. This is our livelihood, our families, and our communities.
Vote Erin Tobin for District 21 Senate on June 2nd.”
This race is going to continue to heat up as Senator and religious zealot Voita is going to be brought to task by Erin Tobin who points out things such as how the District needs health care facilities, and how parents may need to give birth in a hospital.. which based on her votes, the current Senator doesn’t seem to support.
Stay tuned.

District 21, now is the time to correct the error of electing Voita. These ultra right zealots are hurting the future of the state. Erin Tobin is a tremendous asset to the state. Wake up people.
Wonder how much the liberal SDAHO will spend to put their girl back in.
Docs and health care organizations are a bunch of liberals? You go with that while playing footsie with Democrat organization Dakota Rural Action.
DRA has nothing on SDAHO pushing for masks, pushing for shutting our state down during COVID. Pushing former Democrat candidates that change their registration to run as republicans.
That’s a lot of pearl clutching over a Health Care organization advocating for what was considered good advice. It’s 6 years later. You can stop clutching anytime.
oh the horror, a health care organization advocating policies & procedures to keep people healthy!

I was just reading the sad story about Kyle and Kara Keough Bosworth’s baby, born in April 2020. They opted for home birth when the hospital restricted the number of visitors allowed, because of Covid. The evil hospital policy made them do it. She didn’t want to give birth without her doula.
So, because having her doula present was more important than having an obstetrician, she gave birth at home with a certified nurse midwife, who didn’t realize the baby weighed over 11 pounds, and he died as a result.
Tragedies like this are appalling. The hospital instituted a good policy and people who should know better, didn’t.
To read and hear people are still complaining about policies established in an effort to reduce the spread of Covid is infuriating. STFU
Twenty years ago people like Voita would have been laughed off the stage. Now they have crept into Pierre under the guise of “conservative”. These people are not conservative, they are zealots bent on setting SD back to the 1940’s. No taxes, no infrastructure, no outside investment, no critical medical facilities in rural SD, no income other than ag jobs for the working man. Get rid of the crazies at primary time and lets get back on track. But at least poor people can’t buy a cold soda with EBT…But you can with the farm subsidy check the Voita family is cashing.
Years and years ago we all pushed back against East Coast theorists longing for the return of the Buffalo Commons (remember that, anyone?). Types like Voita are actually making it happen.
The thing that bothers me (and we have the same people in McPherson) is that they are all more Christian than you and I. And because of that you can’t question or push back because they have God on their side. These people need to quit using their Christianity as a lever for political gain. I believe the father almighty is not judging them kindly for doing it.
Ben Shapiro “Want to know what the Left and the Horseshoe Right have been holding hands? The share at the root the same common worldview. The only difference is the people they believe are the victims of the system.”
“but instead of trying to course correct or recognizing that even today most of your decisions are in your own hands, politicians in the grievance party (which is what we should call them) tell you that all of your problems must be laid at the foot of the system, and you are not responsible for literally anything in your life.”
Voita and colleagues are members of the “horseshoe right” who will burn down the Capitol to show their victimhood. Evidenced by the fact they are all voting no on the budget, critical access hospitals, public education, etc. “Burn it down! they are thinking in their minds.” The only difference is that the democrats in Pierre aren’t far left, so they aren’t voting to burn it down too.
Burn it down! Make elected office at all levels so undesirable that good common sense people won’t run. Create a vacuum and fill that space with hard left liberals masquerading as fiscal Christian conservatives. That’s their goal. We must vote in June as to not let that happen!
Go Erin!
There’s nothing worse in politics than a “more christian than you” introducing legislation to make you be a better christian and oh yeah, saying they are for freedoms.
We absolutely need Senator Tobin back in the legislature. She is a common sense, pro-South Dakota leader.
