My guess is that Mike Rounds is getting nervous. He should be. Bengs’ ads are pretty good. Rounds, not so much. In fact, I remember thinking the same thing last time Rounds ran. Who is producing his ads? And, more importantly, who is paying for them?
I do think that a lot of people are concerned about the billionaire club trying to buy this election. Maybe more concerned about that… than whether Bengs gets testy with someone who is clearly there just to harass them.

I’m sure the guy who has never lost an election is worried about a guy who almost nobody has heard of. I know it sounds good in your head that the new guy with passion will slay the wise-tenured politician but it’s just fantasy.

Bengs just inadvertently exposed his own dirty secret by appearing with Osborne. Bengs entire campaign is “I’m an independent, not for sale.:” The truth is he’s a stealth Bernie Sanders / Elizabeth Warren progressive faking his red state views. Osborn’s campaign was formed by Dan Moraff and Morris Katz and , who moved to Omaha in 2024 to organize it. Katz is most famous for being the consultant for Democratic Socialist New York City Mayor Zohram Mamdani. Moraff was recruited and was the driving force behind degenerate independent Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner, who quit the race when his background was exposed. Mamdani and Platner were heavily, heavily supported by socialist Sanders, Warren and the Progressive Left. Osborn’s campaign is the product of the very same guys who gave us Mamdani and Platner. Bengs traveled all the way to to Washington to stand beside the product of the Democratic Socialist’s campaign team.
Bengs is 100% the product of Progressive Left leaders like Sanders and the stealth “independent” political machine that they’ve built to challenge real Republicans in safe red states like Mike Rounds.

If Bengs just causes a few hurt feelings I can live with that. Rounds has been, at turns, derelict and nonresponsive at the most crucial times that the Trump juggernaut needed grownup intervention.
How one of this state’s best governors, who could excel as a president himself, can let Trump behave as he does without any response from the Senate majority is outrageous, and I’m done giving consent to it with my vote. I’ll adjust to Bengs, who gets my vote.

Julian also proudly accepted Joe Biden’s endorsement just months after Biden let Israel turn Gaza into a parking lot.
