The PAC report for House Majority Leader Scott Odenbach has now been filed, and it shows that he and relatives, and like-minded allies have dumped over $50,000 into moving the South Dakota legislature even further right than it already is, as Odenbach hands out money largely $1000 at a time.
Including $10,000 he’s put in to unseat his fellow District 31 legislator, Senator Randy Deibert.

Liberty Tree Pac by Pat Powers
Plus an additional report filed today..

The list of recipients reads as a “who’s who” of the hard right on the ballot this year, both incumbents and candidates.. including those who have some serious flaws in representing South Dakotans:

First off the list is the committee for John Teupel, whose candidacy is very, very seriously flawed as I’ve noted in the past,
Legislators didn’t like talking about the measure at all on the floor because of the topic dealing with some of the worst sexual deviants, but Representative Teupel got up and gave his speech. While he claimed he “wasn’t rising in opposition of the bill,” he did have a very detailed three point notation of his “concerns.” #1, “With a class 6 felony, they usually have an identified victim of the crime.” #2 “With the prosecution of a crime like this, there’s not really a plaintiff you can put on a witness stand.” And there was also concern #3..
Concern #3 was the concern that kids who were “sexually experimenting” would be caught in something like this as a young age, and be labeled permanently as a sex offender, when it might have “been a phase that they would have outgrown.”Teupel went on declare that he’s not “opposed to the measure” but “has concerns about the legislation.” And despite his concerns, he actually was an opponent, and went on to be one of the votes against making bestiality a crime.
Sorry. But when as a candidate your record includes advocacy against making horse rape a felony, .. hard nope on returning John to the legislature. Yet, supporting a brand of Muskrat Love we don’t write songs about was worth $10,000 of PAC funding from Scott.
Same for legislative candidate and convicted felon Amber Werdel.. Sorry, former convicted felon, since the pardon and all…

She gets $1000 from the Liberty Tree PAC.
Seriously? We need more felons in Pierre? Yet, this is who Scott wants to add to the roster of the South Dakota House of Representatives.
This years’ legislative primaries do offer some choices to make when people hit the voting booth. And despite what the House Majority Leader wants, people may need to take a harder look at some of those who legislative leadership wants.

Making a note of this should any of these sickos get to the general. If one does in my district, I will bullet vote for the democrat and I may even put up a yard sign and go door to door in my district.
This is how the Democratic fellows will start to claw back into relevance. grudznick is not criticizing you, Mr. Anonymous, as your course of action may be one to emulate. You are espousing, some think, a common thought amongst many thinkers. Like my friend Bill used to say…I’m just sayin…
Speaking of Wedel, isn’t it kind of funny her child/relative (same last name anyway) received a scholarship from Hand County GOP?
The leprechaun from the town where grudznick’s acquaintance Mr. Dale lives does have a pot of gold to share, but he doesn’t like rainbows or clovers.
South Dakota deserves this. They let any yahoo run as a Republican, yes, Democrats, Wingnuts, felons, Posse Comitatus, Freemen, and Libertarians. The state party gets no money because they fail to support true Republicans in the primary. That is how you get the nut cases.
Does Mr. Klaudt fall into your definitions, Mr. Heep?
Comparing last primary’s recipients from the Dark Money Orchard and looking at the recipients this go around, no Black Hills Back Scratch Bucks for John Carley, Dylan Jordan, Dr Garcia, Aaron Alyward, or Curt Voight? I guess when they kissed the ring of Tobidiah Doedenius the Divine it no more soup for them. I see Taffy received a nice helping of Odenbucks. Has she accepted the 30 pieces of silver and went full Judas on Toby? She has been quiet on Toby lately. It is also right on brand for Odenbach to throw money at a homeschool hater, Jason Vandentop. There is a video of him floating around today that is painful to watch as he explains all homeschoolers need to test and need to be held to a higher standard than Public School students. Maybe the YAL lobbyists are right about Scott wanting money for his Private School Kids at the expense of homeschoolers. On an unrelated/related note, I couldn’t help but notice that Scott shared a score card from the South Dakota Stock Growers Association where he received a 90 percent while John Carley, who claimed to be a member of the Association and “runs small groups of cattle and horses” (according to his website where he also claims to be an Veteran and member of the American Legion) received a dismal 50 percent on his scorecard. Although California Carley is about as ranchy as a city sidewalk.
Okay great. Now do SD Republican Forward. Taytay and team Dusty Trombone buying up the simps that will bow down to Dusty’s wishes. Same bunch that can’t spell economic development without eminent domain and a good left of center green energy agenda to suck taxpayer dollars. Fair and balanced reporting?
Pushing back on the overreaches of eminent domain is a good thing. But wanting to stop all economic development is plain stupid. Which is what Oldmanbach & Co. wants to do.
Yeah but do they want to stop eminent domain for its own sake, or are they just taking the position for the emotion and energy it generates for voters? It’s kind of fake and crass if they’re just doing it to rev up the voters and keep them engaged.
Taytay and Dusty Trombone? Dude, how old are you? I can’t believe adults communicate this way.
You must be fun at parties. I’m a Dust guy and that’s hilarious
Cool story.
I’ll bet that Amber Werdell knows Gary
Cammack.
Obvious’ humor is invigorating but still brings some legit talking points; lighten up Dude. Would like to see SD Republican forward brought out front and center as it does seem to focus on Dusty fanatics good or bad.
Odin bucks can apparently buy souls
Of note – dear Mr. Odenbach is the nephew of John Mills. Remember him? No doubt the big bucks are coming from Uncle John. Voter beware.
Being a felon elected official is all the rage these days, didn’t you know?
