I think Dylan Jordan picked wrong in every single race. Especially himself.

Outgoing 1-term State Representative and declared enemy of jet-powered aircraft Dylan Jordan decided to lay it all out there last night on facebook in a last ditch effort to go out in a blaze of glory.

First, the grandma-house cohabiting Jordan decided to do some ‘truth-telling,’ and declared that Fred Deutsch only hung around him in the prior election only to bolster Fred’s conservative credentials:

Because no one would consider Fred a conservative without Dylan telling him how to be one (face palm).

Then in a double-shot of doofus, Jordan announced he’s going to vote for every losing candidate on his ballot.

McNeal.. hasn’t campaigned or advertised?  Jordan has his back. Biolata stands his ground on the playground, battling 12 year olds? Dylan is going to be standing next to him.  Don’t even get me going on Doeden or Dylan’s uncle, Tim “Cut my own taxes” Begalka.

Up and down the ladder every single candidate Dylan Jordan has chosen is going to lose.

Especially the last one. Himself.

  1. Dylan is the best legislator we have in SD. Can’t wait for his second term. Here in district 4 we don’t support huge tax cuts for millionaires or pipelines taking property rights. June second you will see.

    1. He signed a pledge that he would seek passage of a bill obligating the National Guard to shoot down civilian aircraft, you absolute lunatic.

    2. There are a few things I disagree with Dylan on. I may be a right-wing reactionary conservative, but I don’t really follow the conspiratorial bent some others in the wing do. There’s a lot more I would have voted with him on, though. No tax breaks for these massive corporations, no CO2 pipelines, all on the same page.

But when people attack him as “the worst legislator”, I think we need to be more clear what standard we’re measuring him by. Maybe he’s not the smoothest spoken, most well funded, well mannered, natural born politician; but he is honest. He has been totally straightforward in his beliefs, even ones that I, or others, may not agree with. And the voters looked at that and picked him. That means he represents them. So he may not be the best lawmaker, but it means he doing pretty well at being a Representative.

      1. Sorry, but no. Objectively, He is the worst. He couldn’t pass gas during the legislative session, and he signed a pledge to shoot down jets. That places him in rarified air.

Or putrid air, depending how you think of it.

        1. A legislator should not be judged by whether they could pass their own bills it is to be judged by what they stand by and for. Dylan stood up for the people and against lobbyists and special interests. Pushing freedom and small government. So what he signed a pledge that’s all you ever post about him, no one cares. By his voting record he is the best in Pierre.

            1. So I said to come up with something else and your response is the same yet again. Low IQ response here

              1. Yeah, the guys with the low iq are definitely the ones saying that shooting down civilian aircraft is nuts. HOW DUMB ARE WE, MIRITE?

      2. Sam, fair points on the CO2 pipeline and corporate tax breaks. But let’s talk about the “honest and represents his voters” argument, because that deserves a real answer.

Representing your district means delivering for it. Voting against LATC. Voting against road funding. Voting against the rural water fund. Voting against law enforcement. Voting against the state budget — twice. That’s not representing District 4. That’s performing for an audience that doesn’t live here.

And here’s what bothers me most. In 2024 he ran as a mainstream Republican with libertarian leanings. That’s how he presented himself. Nobody heard “I’ll vote against the state budget” or “I’ll kill tLATC funding.” He didn’t say that, because he knew what the reaction would be. So voters picked the guy they thought they were getting. They weren’t.

Thirteen bills introduced over two years. One got out of committee. It dealt with bird eggs.

Maybe that’s not the worst legislative record in Pierre. But it’s close. And District 4 deserves someone who actually moves the ball

        1. Ismay is 0 for 18. If you count the fact that he brought the same (already determined to be unconstitutional) bill twice. Zero. Oh and he also voted against the budget. And against rural healthcare funding. I believe he is objectively the worst. And I think those nuts out there are going to send him back to Pierre.

    3. Wow…. There have been some incredibly moronic statements posted to this blog over the years, but yours wins the prize as the most idiotic. A man whose only achievement during two years in Pierre is passage of a bill that was not his idea but was instead the idea of a child, and that is who you say is our best legislator? He’s the third best legislator in the room when he is in a room by himself. We in District 4 deserve so much better than him…SO much.

  2. Anybody voting for Bialota loses my vote. I’ll stick with the Trump endorsed candidates – Jackley and Rounds

    1. Yes. Lems and Hansen will primary Thune and anyone else if they become governor. The civil war will expand to federal offices and destabilize politics throughout SD to a new level.
