Hot off the press:
Apparently, X-senator Julie Fry Mueller’s husband is running for the open seat on the South Dakota Republican Party executive board vacated by Ezra Hays recently.
Mueller, if you recall, was part of his wife’s ’breastfeeding scandal,’ and was in the closed room as all of it was going on with the legislative employee:
The unnamed staff member said in written testimony that Frye-Mueller and her husband, Mike Mueller, came into her office last week to discuss a bill. The senator asked the staff member about her child and if she had vaccinated her child. When she said ‘yes,’ Frye-Mueller pointed her finger at the staff “aggressively” and told her “it would cause issues,” according to the testimony.
Frye-Mueller then asked the staff member if she was breastfeeding, the staff member said. When the staff member said she was using formula, Frye-Mueller began describing how she could breastfeed.
“She proceeded to provide hand gestures to her chest area and motion to her husband to see if he agreed,” the staff member said in her testimony. “He smiled and nodded.”
Do we have someone to serve on the state Republican Party Executive Board who hasn’t been in the middle of a legislative scandal telling an employee how to breast-feed?

With so many kooks and creeps actively engaged in the SDGOP leadership shuffle, one can only imagine what forms of misadventure await us. Stay tuned!
I see that they have a Reagan print up front – is that for auction or just decoration? Does Eschenbaum also have an Obama portrait? Do any of these Republicans have one ounce of regret for supporting a guy for chairman who openly supported Barack Obama? Obama gave us Obamacare, Joe Biden, and Hillary as SOS. Please, someone make this make sense.
You read this stuff about the SDGOP and you’re worried about Obama.. Biden.. and Hillary?
Turn your attention to the relevant state of chaos in the here and now which was created by none of the aforementioned 3.
How is the current sh*show going to be remedied?
The nuts have infiltrated our party and elected an Obama guy as state chairman. There’s no fixing it – just exposing it.
The only relevance they have now is choosing candidates at the state convention. You want a solution? Take that away from them and allow for primaries. Without that power, they are as relevant as the Freedumb caucus.
You left out the part that while Julie was getting in the staffer’s face about very personal child rearing decisions, Mike was blocking the only exit, making the staffer feel even more threatened.
What a shit show
Nope. The Embarrassment Express rolls on!
Any updates from this meeting?
Any updates from the meeting?
He won.
From absurd to ludicrous.
While the Democrats, locally and nationally, struggle for direction, the SDGOP proclaims loud and proud,
“Hold my Beer!” 🤦♂️
This should bring more people into the party.
Hopefully he can get the fundraising dollars flowing as well as he gets the milk flowing.
I’ve been a proud Republican my entire life. I believe in limited government, personal responsibility, and principled leadership. But right now, I’m ashamed of what the South Dakota Republican Party has become.
The state GOP has no direction, no leadership, and no clue what it stands for anymore. For the last six months, they’ve produced nothing. No vision. No results. Just endless finger-pointing, hollow outrage, and backroom power games.
While elected Republicans are out there doing the hard work of governing, the party leadership is busy tearing them down. And for what? They haven’t delivered a single accomplishment of their own. Not one. They criticize everyone else while refusing to take responsibility for their own failure. That’s not leadership. That’s cowardice.
This isn’t the Republican Party I signed up for. It’s chaos dressed up as conservatism. It’s a disgrace to the values we claim to stand for, and an embarrassment to South Dakota.
To those in charge: if you want to preach accountability, start by looking in the mirror.
We deserve better. And real Republicans are paying attention.
