No wonder they sat on their FEC report. SDGOP raised $85 last month

The South Dakota Republican Party held out until the very last day, today, to file their July federal elections commission monthly report. And for good reason.

The Republican Party Central committee met yesterday in Pierre, and this is information that they very likely did not want to discuss. The amount they are reporting as having raised in June to the FEC? A whopping $85.

That’s not $85,000. Or even $8500. $85. Less than most people‘s trip to a grocery store.

That’s even worse than last month, when the states majority political party raised an embarrassing $700.

Added to their $85 of effort, another $270 came in for refunds from the post office. Against this fundraising total, the SDGOP managed to spend $6079.

This is not a sustainable model.

  1. Ms. Frye-Mueller and her very pretty sister will get the finances of the SDGOP straightened out. This morning at the Conservatives with Common Sense breakfasting the opening rant will be a scathing dialog on the moronicism of the insaners who took over the party, and the wingnuts here in Rapid City will not go unscathed. They will be scathed.

  2. With the gutting of federal agencies the SDTrump Party can sell surplus CDC Biohazard suits as Chemtrail fallout protection suits. Tinfoil cranial lining an extra cost option. Who would staff that table?

  3. Let em starve.

If it happens, The bigger story will be who actually writes this clown show a check?

    1. Toby Doeden sells himself as a “Republican” and a really and I mean really BIG wheel. Let him fund the party as he should 100% fully fund his campaign and refuse donations.

      1. Doeden’s not refusing donations, he’s asking for them now. He’s a crock.
The SDGOP central committee is putting all of its eggs in the basket of Jimmy, the real RINO (why else would he be calling everyone else a RINO, he is the original dem turned republican to gain power) and a power hungry, sleezy car salesman. It’s almost like they want Democrats to win?

Oh no, did I blow leadership’s plan?

  4. Eschenbaum is a Democrat who thinks Other People’s Money will pay all the bills. It will come from somewhere. He doesn’t know where.
Perhaps former party chairs will take the time to explain just how much of their own money they spent supporting the party.

The new regional directors might need to be clued in to the cost of attending Lincoln Day dinners, fundraisers and parades around their regions, too. I could have taken some nice vacations with what I spent on gasoline, parade candy, dinners, raffle tickets, auctions etc.
They think they occupy positions of power, but in reality, it’s an act of services that takes a lot of time and money.

    1. Well said. There’s a bunch of Republicans money out there, and the Republicans are hanging onto it themselves for now,
not forwarding to the party leadership.

    1. The executive board members are the rinos. They’ve veered so far right they are actually liberals. The McPherson gop executive board is the same, instead of less government they want more setbacks, more ordinances and they resolution things to death. In McPherson during the election integrity negotiations nonsense, when the commission wouldn’t cave to their demands, it was heard several times” we move the needle by uncomfortable public confrontation in regards to public officials”. Can you say Maxine Waters and Chuck Schumer ideals. (Who are the rinos now?)

  5. Are we embarrassed enough yet? These clowns do NOT represent the average South Dakota Republican, and they have no intention to do so. They are there to advance their own personal agendas and fight the imaginary battles they’ve deemed imperative to feel self important.

  6. They aren’t covering the cost of the monthly compliance.

But here’s the thing – I have to keep saying it..: they don’t care. Not one bit. Eschenbaum is a Democrat. And most of the others got elected with no money. They win legislative seats and executive-board seats because they show up. This group doesn’t care a bit about party. They care about power. And they will have it during the next convention when they nominate all the candidates once again. This is the group that gave us Ravnsborg, and almost knocked off Jackley and Rhoden. If or maybe when they mess up the next convention, we will see a move to put these offices on the primary ballot where they belong. Give the people the voice they deserve. But the whackos are afraid of that because they would lose control.

    1. There was a bill to put constitutional offices on the primary. The Whackadoodles opposed this because they said out of state money would buy the elections. I guess they didn’t consider in state money. Must have thought it would just be there. 🤦‍♂️

  7. Do we know if they told anyone at the meeting about the $85? They would’ve seen the report, and fundraising is something they should talk about at the meetings, treasurers report and all.

  8. At the meeting Fabricator Mulally told us the figures for June and July were not available.

    1. Hahahahaha- the SDGOP exec board hid the failing fundraising report from the members. The same idiots who preach about transparency in government didn’t want the party state central committee to know how crappy their fundraising has been.

  9. Maybe the SDGOP should hit up the Jon Hansen campaign for some tips—he and his inner circle are experts at the Pizza Ranch fundraiser hustle. They could team up: “RINOs & Ranch Nights!” Throw in a bake sale and they might just break the $100 mark next month. Just make sure no non-Hansen loyalists show up—they might get attacked…

    1. One wonders what the Ranch of Pizza is thinking about being associated with all these fellows who attract crowds insaner than most. Is it part of the business plan, or just a side effect of having a side room anybody can sit in that includes child’s claw games? What say the Ranch of Pizza?

  10. The Trump cult MAGAts pushed the Reaganites out of power. I can see why the Reagan republicans don’t financially support the party. But after working to wrest control, why are the MAGAts not supporting the party they worked so hard to get?

    1. Because they are counting on the public’s ambivalence. Say what you want about MAGA diehards, but they show up to the polls.

  11. Intentional memory lapse. Just goes to show the lack of integrity of the SDGOP leadership.

Liars do what liars gotta do.
