Hot out of my in-box, Governor Larry Rhoden is having a high-dollar fundraiser in Sioux Falls tonight to raise money for the campaign towards the runoff election, including a former Governor, another former Governor’s son, a former Lt. Governor, Denny Sanford, a number of former legislators, and high dollar donors from up and down I-29.. and well you can look at the list:
If you’ve got an extra $1000 or so for the suggested contribution, then go check it out.
We can all hope his GOTV operation is s as good as this list!
Honestly, I expected better.
How is the donor class not united behind Larry?
Rhoden’s problem is that, even though he is a regular guy, he doesn’t understand or respect voters. He prioritizes hobnobbing with the corporate and political elite; he desires their affirmation.
Masters of the universe. Were with Dusty, didn’t work out. Now Larry. Won’t work out. Things are different this cycle. I actually feel a tad bit sorry for Larry and Sandy that the people around them aren’t giving better advice. Photo ops ain’t going to cut it.
Bash half of those wanting to do business in this state and their supporters with their track record and now Tony and Karr’s top 10 list and then put your hands out. Remarkably oblivious to the impact the last 2 plus 6 years have had to the larger business community. North Dakota and Nebraska hope for 8 more years of the same. I hope not.
Rhoden’s advisors destroyed his campaign. Matt McCauley, Matt Michaels, and his Lt. Governor never had his best interests at heart.
All of the influence that money can buy. Amen.
In this particular case I’m thankful for these wealthy donors pitching in to defeat Mr. Doeden. If Doeden wins there will be a huge exodus from SD due to sheer embarrassment and shared shame.
And Toady’s minions will welcome the exodus of those whom they disparage as RINOS as they jubilantly bellow “good riddance”.
My Gawd what a time we are all enduring.
An exodus? LOL. We could only hope there’s an exodus of the RINOS (Many on the list including wind energy lovin’ Showenbrick) to the east where they can assimilate with the Somalians they are more aligned with; stealing taxpayer dollars over threats of losing data centers, co2 pipelines, and the green energy crap.

I expected better. Not surprised. Larry and Tony’s leg on each side of the fence while bashing Dusty supporters isn’t helping him. The hands out for money while smack talking the same group of people is classless.
Lot of favors will be expected from Larry with all this money.
What happens if he just says no?
