Looks like the election conspiracists goofballs backing Heather Baxter to take over the Secretary of State’s office are taking the gloves off on Facebook, as they dial up the gaslighting and delusional narcissism and declare that people should do things their way, because the rest of the world is stupid and they’re the only ones who understand.

Yet, oddly enough, not one of them can point to an election in South Dakota that came out wrong.  At the same time that hand-counting has been proven to not be so great when it comes to accuracy.

I guess they will have to accept that South Dakotans aren’t big on the paranoia they keep trying to sell.

  2. There is a not a precinct in South Dakota where we have “electronic voting.” Not one. Even if you vote on one of the machines for the disabled, it still prints out a paper ballot. The basis of every one of the canvass crazy crews arguments is built on a fallacy. Tabulators are not connected to the internet. You cant prove a negative, so if they are arguing they are connected to the internet, they need to prove it. Which they cant. Because theyre not. We have verifiable, auditable PAPER ballots. The only issues we have ever had is with the hand counting they are arguing for. And there is absolutely zero proof or evidence that hand counting is necessary in South Dakota. Every single cry wolf “election fraud” argument they have made in South Dakota has been proven wrong.

    It is time we just ignore this group completely, let them drift into obscurity, and focus on issues that actually affect South Dakota citizens.

    1. I was going to get into the whole “electronic election system” thing, but that was going to make the post far too long to point out that what we have is a voter list kept electronically and optical counters.

      But that doesn’t play into the paranoia that gets people to buy into their nonsense.

  3. I would like to see a list of all SD elections where the outcome was incorrect due to bad ballots or something related. Show me the list and then let’s talk.
