Thank you @POTUS Trump for appointing me as the Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas.  @SecRubio and @SecWar are incredible leaders and I look forward to working with them closely to dismantle cartels that have poured drugs into our nation and killed our children and grandchildren.

The Western Hemisphere is absolutely critical for U.S. security. In this new role, I will be able to build on the partnerships and national security expertise, I forged over the last 13 months as Secretary of Homeland Security.

We have made historic accomplishments at the Department of Homeland Security to make America safe again: we delivered the MOST secure border in American history, 3 million illegal aliens have left the U.S., we have located 145,000 children, FEMA delivered disaster relief at a 100% faster rate, we ushered in the golden age of travel, saved the American taxpayer $13 billion and revitalized the U.S. Coast Guard.

  3. I believe her lie about the 100% faster rate of delivering FEMA aid is one of the many reasons that so angered the GOP senator from North Carolina.

    Special Envoy Noem could play a starring role as a demon on a “Supernatural” TV series reboot. It could be a lucrative side gig for her.

  10. While I may disagree, Trump had the nerve to let someone go whom he thought was not doing the job. Mayorkas held on for four years under feckless Biden while letting millions of illegal people into the United States. Like it or not she put a stop to that.

  12. All the gloating about Noem’s departure seems to have distracted everybody from looking at her replacement.
    She shot a dog, so Trump nominated a Native American. The irony cannot be lost on anyone who has lived on a reservation.
    She was argumentative, so Trump nominated a guy who is an MMA pro who has actually challenged Teamsters President Sean O’Brien to fight. Repeatedly. That’s how he resolves disputes, by taking it outside.
    She wasn’t administering the department the way the public liked, so Trump has nominated somebody who thinks she was doing a good job and plans to do all the same things. Only he’s going to do it with flair now.

    This is going to be so much fun to watch.

    1. oh, and I have no doubt the senate will be willing to confirm a colleague who has said “sometimes you just need to be punched in the face,” and has reminded them of the 1856 caning of Senator Charles Sumner. They will be glad to be rid of him.

      1. Markwayne Mullin fits the stereotype perfectly of a guy with rocks in his head knuckle dragger. He will fit in well with the Trump circus variety show.

    2. I wouldn’t call it fun, and we’re not expecting her replacement to be any better, but give us this moment to enjoy her getting her comeuppance for once after all the terrible things she’s done to South Dakotans.

Noem handed out over 200 million dollars to a company that didn’t exist 8 days before. Trump also claimed he didn’t approve it and she stated under oath that he did. That is corruption and at the very least demands some investigation. Your blind loyalty is remarkable.

The people of SD are responsible for this, if you could have told her it wasn’t acceptable to pay for things like plastic surgery with tax payer dollars, she wouldn’t have expected she could do this stuff. Three luxury executive jets for government employees? Come on, South Dakota, quit being so stupid and hold elected officials accountable. Just imagine that Krisit was the Somali daycare, you would have flipped out, stop being so easily manipulated.

    2. I have never voted for Kristi for anything. Hell I even switched my voter registration so I could vote against her in the primaries which I plan to do with Toby Dodo.

  17. Senator Mullin’s nomination as her replacement should at least discourage the Democrats from demanding the resignation of any other cabinet secretaries..
    And if Schumer and Jeffries don’t want to fund the DHS, they can take it outside. I hope it’s televised.

    1. Why would Mullin stop any demands that one of the other incompetent clown-car cabinet officers be fired for gross dereliction of duty, as Noem was, “transfer” notwithstanding? There is no logic to that statement.

          1. He’s gonna to be a great DHS secretary. Probably won’t take prisoners, so we won’t have to hear sob stories about detainees, they’ll just be among los desaparecidos. Nobody will ever know what happened to them.
