From KELOland News, the former 32-year Democrat in charge of the SDGOP, Jim Eschenbaum, has managed to insert himself into the conversation around former Governor Noem’s departure from the Department of Homeland Security:
South Dakota GOP Chairman Jim Eschenbaum sent KELOLAND News a statement.
“I really don’t know for sure why President Trump removed Secretary Noem, but I fully trust his judgment. I’m sure President Trump will tell her where to go next,” Eschenbaum said in an email to KELOLAND News.
Um.. I’m not sure how that helped raise money or elect Republicans today.
Which means that the SDGOP is staying the course of doing neither.

Clown Chairman. Hey Jim, did you ask your President Obama what he thought?
He trusts Trump’s judgment? The same judgment that appointed her?
Don’t you know dear leader is infallible, even when poor decisions are made? Like when he criticized the president that appointed Powell to the Fed, hardy har-har.
If he doesn’t know why, I’m sure basically everyone in the U.S. can inform him.
Did KELO call him? If so, why?
Or did Jimmy call them? If so, what a narcissistic imbecile.
“And we’re not really sure why we as a party aint got a pot to piss on.”
How did this party allow this guy to be the leader?
Hey Jim. You dumb dumb. We are for the REPUBLICANS. In case you weren’t sure.
The GOP chair should be an effective leader who serves Republicans by registering new conservative voters, raising money, organizing events (such as the state convention), recruiting stellar candidates, training candidates, and then (post primary/ convention) supporting nominees with donations and services. A well-funded party helps win individual races because it can buy in bulk. Donations should flow from citizens/ groups/ committees/ businesses to the party. Subsequently, support flows from the party to candidates. The right person to perform this job is an experienced man or women who prefers working behind the scenes, solving problems and helping other succeed. Ideally, the chair never appears on stage. Imagine a blockbuster movie. The party platform is the script. Candidates are the stars; the state chair is the film’s director.
Jim E loves the spotlight. At events he demands the microphone. While candidates for senate or sheriff receive 2 quick minutes, the chairman drones on for 30! He loves to comment on social media, using his title. He craves journalists’ attention. He takes public positions on controversial topics sua sponte. Instead of raising money to support statewide leaders, he asks them for donations. Jim is happiest when debating the merits of various bills. He might have been a decent legislator, but he’s ridiculously ill suited to his current role.
Eschenbama has alienated at least 3/4 of the sane Republicans in the state. No wonder he can’t raise money.
I thought you were talking about Trump for a second.
