“The paid-off media is attempting to influence the outcome of this election with a very fake poll,” he said.
That stands in contrast to his reaction following the May 21 release of a KELO/Emerson poll that showed him leading with 26% support in the four-way primary race.
“KELOLAND News shows us leading in their latest poll,” Doeden posted on Facebook at the time, while sharing a bar chart of the poll results. “Our internal polling looks even better.”

The Doeden campaign is in a free fall. Is it time to bring back to bring back the official Doeden Dumpster Fire logo?
change the wrap on the RV to show Doeden in a hellscape
You know he and the hand-counting kooks will say the results were rigged if he loses–even by 30 points.
Bet they won’t and I think probably half or better of the counties are hand counting this election. That argument will be a fools errand. It’ll be fun watching
C’mon, Mr. Doeden. Everybody who isn’t uninformed or ignorant has been saying you are a bogus frat for months. You keep showing us you are a bogus frat.
Toby, are you really a bogus frat?
That, sir, is not bogus fat
Polls are about as factual as the Clinton’s business associates and close friends committing suicide!
How many people were contacted for this poll?
How do you explain the May poll by this same firm tracking accurately?
I was
It’s great to see the “Real Toby Doeden” publicly react and comment to the media so all South Dakotans can see how unqualified he is for any public office. Lets work towards a landslide Defeat of Doedon especially up in his home county. Toby will help us. He cannot help himself.
Toby’s true bully side is showing up.
Not only is Toby’s bully side show up but it seems they are coming up with more lies about Rhoden.
He can’t coalesce the Hansen voters because he chose Phil Jensen and Brandei Schaefbauer.
Do find it strange the this poll comes out & now the Doeden supporters are saying that Dusty is working behind the scenes for Rhoden.
Strange but Dusty crucified both Rhoden & Hansen in the primary during his campiaign, but didn’t say anything negative about Doeden..
Do you know what voting Republican feels like nowadays? It feels like someone selecting the kid they’re sending to medical school or law school to make something of themselves – and have them keep showing up at home twice a year to show you the cars they stole, the buildings they blew up, and all the wads of cash they carry around. That’s what it feels like under this bunch.
I don’t recall Johnson going negative. All I saw were goofy ads with his kids complaining he made them work too hard
People I talked to said they couldn’t figure out why he was running for the office
Then you missed a lot of the Dusty campaigns & mailers.
Dusty and Doeden ran one of the most mudslinging primaries that I have seen in a long time. Now Doeden is still on the warpatth.
Come ON. The Dusty ads painting Rhoden and Hansen as big-taxing posers were weak cheese. Just like his ads with his kids. It was a campaign on auto-pilot. If Dusty had a top PR firm hired, they made sure to assign their best college interns to the job. He needed true message innovation and did not get it.
What is especially alarming are the vicious bullying and threats directed at those who publicly speak in opposition to the Doeden campaign by a number of his key supporters. Some of those key supporters would most likely be appointed to a Doeden administration which gives a glimpse of what they would probably spend their time if Doeden is elected. As many of us witness, Toby Doeden sets the tone not only appealing to the worst of human nature but attracts others who do the same. It’s both easy, requiring minimal effort and lazy for those who do not want to do the hard work of sincerely trying to make lives better or mask the inability or lack of vision to do so.
Rather than governing it would be constant conflict using the power of state government to bully South Dakotans, pitting neighbors against each other, inflicting retribution against political opposition, those who are not ideologically pure enough along with further attacks demonizing/dehumanizing already marginalized populations that are often scapegoated.
Conflict would be directed outside the state which would further damage the state nationally and internationally often driven by crazy conspiracies as promoted by now thankfully former elected officials, a few who would of been defeated had they chose to run for re-election and hard right activists that a Governor Doeden would surround himself with.
South Dakotans cannot afford Toby Doeden as governor and the hellscape he would bring.
well said!
Sounds like Trumps level of dysfunction. Tobys a chip of the old, old block
Yep!
What’s wrong with President Trump?
Spot on. The old saying of “You see the very best in a job candidate when they’re applying for the job – expect the same or less from them as an employee.” Remember, he’s still applying for the job right now, it’s going to get worse if South Dakota voters make the wrong choice on July 28th – or worse yet if voters wake up on July 29th and say, “Shoot, I forgot to vote yesterday…”
Toby would make Jesse Ventura look like a smart pick by our eastern neighbor – South Dakota can’t afford the pain he would inflict the next four years.
Minnesotans who were initially skeptical, were fans of Ventura by the end of his term, said he was a good leader with good ideas.
This. 100%.
Doeden is so much like DJT it’s scary.
It’s almost like he is following some sort of playbook.
Uncanny!
He’s betting on the people of South Dakota just continuing their mindless zombie following of Trump. He’s repeating the same lines that work for Trump and seeing if they work for him. Fake news! Elections rigged! Makeup on men! Talking about how much money you made!
