Big Rhoden Announcement tomorrow; is an endorsement coming?

Just received a media advisory of a big announcement coming in the AM tomorrow from the Rhoden campaign that “Governor Larry Rhoden will make a major announcement in Sioux Falls” The announcement will take place at the Rhoden for Governor Sioux Falls Campaign Headquarters” at 10 AM.

Interestingly, also saw what appears to be an endorsement from his predecessor, Governor Kristi Noem, on facebook:

Does that possibly mean the major announcement at the campaign HQ tomorrow AM is with regards to another endorsement that might be coming?

  1. Huh…. Normally a Kristi Noem endorsement is enough to make me vote for someone else entirely. However, considering that the someone else in this runoff election is a raving lunatic, I guess I will have to suck it up and stick with Rhoden.

  2. My guess it is Dusty having a change of heart. If Larry is smart, he’ll have Kristi stay out of it.

    1. 100% he should keep Kristi at arms length. There is enough “well he was Lt. Govenor under Noem, and we know how that Govenorship went.” Larry needs to let people know he is his own man, not a continuation of Noem.

    2. The worst kept secret is that Dusty is has been working behind the scenes to help the Rhoden camp. So he already had a change of heart

          1. They should focus on getting somebody qualified up against Mr. Russell. The corpse of Randy Seiler would be better than Mr. Russell. grudznick has suggested the husband of Mrs. Volesky, who has been there and done that.

    1. That would be WAAYYYY better than a Noem endorsement. Thune, Rounds, dog catcher, ANYONE but Noem or her family.

  3. I’m hopeful that Thune and Rounds will publicly support Rhoden.

After reading the Searchlight article and then listening to Doeden say the complete opposite (or deny things) during his time on the Dakota Town Hall podcast, it proves he can’t be trusted. He will say and do anything to get elected. On the other hand, Rhoden is honest and approachable. He’s surrounded himself with smart, effective people. Doeden’s snippets, one liners, and headline statements have no basis or plan backing them up. It’s easy for an outsider to say “I’m going to eliminate property taxes” or “I’m going to find a new revenue source” yet if there is no plan, no roadmap, how can any of this be achieved? I hope South Dakotans see through this smoke and mirrors on July 28th.

  4. Kyle Peters endorsement is as dangerous as Kristi’s. Ugh. Daugaard is retired and his son-in-law is lt. gov.

  5. Like the guy that worked at the rendering plant his whole life, Larry has the stink of Kristi Noem ingrained in anything he does.
No wonder Gary Cammack is the only one that really wants to sit near him at The Cattleman’s Club.

    1. You’re a special kind of stupid. Nobody is afraid to sit next to Larry. Sounds like something that you struggle with though. Lots of projection on your part.

    2. Larry’s a good guy, that has shined through his many years of service to South Dakota. I like him and he’s the best the GOP has right now, though I’m so angry about Trump that I’m going to vote for every Democrat I can find this November. You keep screaming about killing or imprisoning all Democrats but you never prove WHY they’re worse than more Trump. They’re better than the GOP at this point. Much better. They’ll apply THE LAW.

    1. That is what I am hoping for. Grand-parenting duties will prevent me from attending the announcement today but I hope to hear the sound of the biggest pimple in South Dakota popping in Aberdeen.

  6. Regardless of who it is, it makes no difference. This late in the game, my reaction is, “what took this person so long to jump on with Governor Rhoden?”
